Finally... The IT biz slump is over, for me anyway... I've been picked up on a 6mo contract for GE Medical Systems, doing sys admin/server configuration & integration work (GE bought another company, and they're in the process of converting (other company's) systems to work with theirs)... First 'real' job out of college (I've been skating by as an independant consultant for 2yrs now)... No more 16hr work weeks & barely making ends meet... It's gonna be good to have MONEY again... Reminds me of the way things were before/during school... (no, I'm not gonna buy any guns for now... Although I've got one of those DPMS 22LR A2 uppers on back-order from cheaperthandirt)... Oh... Thanks Mr Prez, for fixing the economy... Great Depression MY ASS! |
