[ARCHIVED THREAD] - New Jump Drive?

I recently bought a new "sandisk" 16GB jump drive and was wondering if there is anything I should do to it before using it.

Uh, take it out of the package and stick it in your PC... If you have a MAC you are out of luck, take it back to the store...

reformat it, maybe

scandisk used to put some kind of software on there.

Reformat it to remove all the preloaded crap. Make sure you format it as FAT instead of NTFS, etc.
