Remember that? Good times... Gooooood times. Maybe not for you, but for the rest of us... |

Excellent first rifle. Good job on the mags, but you're almost out of ammo....

Hello everyone. I've been a lurker since 2011, but didn't want to create an account until I owned an AR. Over the past 3 years, I've learned a lot in the tech forums and had a lot of laughs in GD. Finally, today, I picked up my first EBR. I used Walmart lay-a-way to secure a Colt LE6920. To prove that I "pay attention" to what I read, I spent the 20% Black Friday savings on ammo and mags. I put the rifle on lay-a-way last Saturday, and, while at the store, bought 300 rounds of ZQI. Thanks to the Black Friday thread here, I hopped on the DGS 10-Pmag deal last night. That's right - I bought 300 rounds and 10 mags before I even had the rifle! Contrary to other reports, there are no "thrown down the driveway" marks. In fact, the only blemish is a small nick in the lower at one of the roll pins that secure the trigger guard. The gas key is properly staked and upper/lower play is nearly nonexistent. Planning a range trip on Sunday afternoon to get familiar with my new weapon. I don't plan on any changes until I have a bunch of range sessions under my belt and figure out what works best for me. I want to become proficient with the irons before adding any optic. Anyway, here's the required pic (man, I hope this works...). http://s1282.photobucket.com/user/Coachmike1970/media/imagejpg1_zps1c9e9380.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0 As the others have said, you should be very happy with the choice of AR. And welcome to .. posting here finally |

I don't think you will be able to post "in-line" pics until you've posted a preset number of times (50 comes to mind but I might be wrong). It's a spam reduction thing for new members.
