My initial reaction was “meh”
I would, however, be interested to see how effective a combination of Multicam and Multicam Tropic would be in the southeastern United States. Personally, I don’t see much use for camouflage patterns for civilian use. If you want to rock it, more power to ya. I’m just thinking of how much it would cost to get all of your kit in Multicam; Shirts, Trousers, insulating layer, rain gear, pack(s), ammo pouches/carriers. It would probably look pretty cool and give you an edge if you were in an open space, but as long as you are practicing good cover and concealment, I just can’t see justifying the cost. For civ applications, I think I’ll stick to my mish-mash of coyote & OD green. Now if we are talking about issuing this stuff to the troops, that’s a whole different story. |

Not sure if anyone is putting the pattern on clothing just yet, but apparently Camelbak is going to put something out with the OCIE version (gear specific pattern) of US4CES.
