| How about creating the search option that searches the body of the thread for your search term, not just the thread titles? This is a very helpful feature. |

...Another nice option for search in the EE would be the ability to only search for items in your state, would be much easier for FTF deals that way which a lot of people prefer. That's available, in most if not all of the hometown forums you'll find a link to a preformatted search, and in the new EE it's expanded to Zipcode and distance from zipcode. |

Ohh.... good to know lol. Learn something new every day. |

We really do need a better search feature than what we have.
There are many other forums (that are free) and have much better search features. Blasphemy, I know.
That "blackhole" bullshit is getting old. I originally became a paying member because of the enhanced search feature. But, it still sucks. |

It's on the list, near the top and coming soon. There might be 1 or 2 items which are above it on the list, but the majority of the work has been done and tested without you guys even noticing it. We'll monitor the performance when it does go live and we'll need to decide on any possible additional hardware we may need to support it properly. At the moment, I don't see an issue with anything and we'll probably put in search timers for everyone at launch to avoid people searching multiple times within x seconds. That value will of course be adjustable based on how much the system can handle. |

Although it got a little sidetracked, this is still being worked on and I'll probably share the new interface for searching in the Team Forum to get some input. There's still a decent amount of work left to be completed, but the biggest issue is finding the time. We have a large number of projects going and I've been more focused on getting the EE back on track. I do feel a lot of people will be very happy to see the work that's gone into the new search. The archive engine will also have this new interface replace the existing one, and I have plans to add searching to the IM tool for team members. |

I know why the EE is the #1 priority for the site, however, and completely agree with and support that. * or could someone else, if they happen to see it first? I know/understand that GoatBoy's schedule can get a little busy from time-to-time. /understatement |

Quoted: This would be really really nice. I am befuddled by the fact we can only search topics and then only the last 3 months. This is the only pay-for site I belong to. It is also the only tsite that has such limited search capabilities. Wierd. This site must have tons of data on its servers. That data is also changing pretty fast. It isn't really surprising that a search function on that data is difficult to implement. |

I thought I was just searching incorrectly.
Any time I did a search, there were no results. I kind of thought it was just searching the thread titles, but wasn't sure. Yeah, the ability to search in the thread would be great, and not make me feel slower than I am. |
