| My son bought a new armalite ar15 and if you try and seat a loaded mag on a closed bolt the mag won't lock in without slamming the carp out of it and when you go to charge a round it hangs up and won't chamber without repeated charging, what is causing thus? |

I had the feeding issue happen with one new AR15 (a PSA), it just needed more lube in the BCG. After that it never happened again.
The magazine being hard to insert on a closed bolt when fully loaded is pretty normal. Most mags will do that on every AR I've ever handled. PMAGs tend to be the best at avoiding that issue, I think they leave a little bit of extra space in the mag to make it easier to insert on a closed bolt when fully loaded. |

If you fill a dual position feed magazine until literally not another round can go in, then it won't seat correctly in a firearm. There has to be room for the ammo stack to move down in the magazine in order for the bolt/bolt carrier to push down into that space. Load less ammo in your magazines.
PMags are higher capacity magazines, for people who load magazines to a number instead of how they function. |
