Be careful running hot .308/7.62 in that small ring action (62k psi vs 51k psi in the original chambering)

Yes, I have read a bunch of opinions on firing this gun.  Most of the videos and comments show people that have trouble cycling the bolt.  I don't plan on shooting this much, but the pmc .308 cycles without any issues or sticking bolt.  Easy load, easy extract.

I also have a M1916, but is in the original 7x57 chambering, and I don't hot rod it.

I scored a butt load of Remington 175 grain round nose seconds at a gun show years back and load those with enough IMR 4350 to reach 2300 fps.

Very pleasant to shoot and doesn't strain 100 year old guns much.
