Why do noobs not even search around before they post? It seems like 90% of the redundant topics that are posted are authored by people with less than 10 posts.  There are 2 threads in the pistol forum that are almost identical, authored by 2 different users, one with 1 post and the other with 3.  These 2 threads were only seperated by 4 other threads.  Maybe some newbies don't want to search through all the pages, but to post a thread about a topic when that same topic thread is right there staring at you, c'mon.

That's what I love about this site, the "esteemed veterans" are so friendly and ever so patient with us "newbs".

I guess everyone has just as much right as you to waste bandwidth with pointless threads

maybe you are taking this the wrong way.  I don't have a thing against new posters or dumb questions, because at one point or another everyone was a newbie and has asked dumb questions.  It is more along the lines of, why don't new posters try to research their question a little bit before posting a topic about it.  Read what the other posters have written, because chances are, the topic has been covered.  I know certain topics are actually specific that new posters come here with sometimes, but  if you're question is "where to get pistol lowers" or "what's the best ar for me", why not just spend your time reading the forum to educate yourself before posting.

I never understood why people would bitch about dupes threads in the General forum when non-team members don't have access to the search or archive features.

If your referring to my post above, please note the smiley.  I'm just trying to add a little humor into a thread that I know is going nowhere.  Sorry if that upset you.  This is the internet and this is Arfcom.  If you have a serious post, you may not want to put it in GD.

My $.02

Non-descriptive thread titles in GD often make searching pointless.

If you don't like the question, ignore it. Don't argue just to raise your post count. I mean, just look at this thread.
