Wii Play is not good - only buy if you want filler and another wiimote
Don't have wiifit yet but I'm gonna pick it up don't know about Dangerous Hunts but the first Cabelas game sucked hard World Tour is good - very good Mario Cart is most execellent the Rayman series is pretty enjoyable but may not be family friendly If you post the type of games your interested in I'm sure people can make some recomendations Barry |

I played wii Play enough to give myself a case of tennis elbow (wiibow), then had to leave the system alone for months, to let it heal (yes, it is addictive). Recently, my daughter talked me into getting Zelda Twilight Princess, and the store also had the wii Zapper that comes with a Zelda crossbow trainer game. I tried the Zapper, but it just seemed awkward to me. I was thinking about cutting it up and maybe epoxying a toy stock on it, but I saw a NYKO Perfect Shot in the store. The Perfect Shot looks like a generic double action pistol, and it did wonders for my scores on the crossbow trainer game (now if I could just find a wii game that would let me run through an IDPA match  ). And Zelda Twilight Princess is also additive, if you like the dungeon/puzzle/action games. |

I couldn't care less. Actually the Wii Fit is a lot of fun  It was my wife's Christmas present this year (her request since she just had a baby) and she really likes it. She's lost about 4 pounds and I've lost 3 over the past 8 days just doing activities there. Our balance is improving and I'm actually getting more flexible by doing some of the yoga stuff. Easily worth the $90.
She got me Mario Kart which I love

And the amount of fun is directly related to how much alcohol has been consumed.  Well here's the deal. I have a sneaking suspicion that Santa picked up a wii for us for Christmas. I'm not a huge video game player, although I have been known to achieve victory on the Mario Bros DS games quicker than my kids or husband.  The capt would probably like the Guitar Hero, since he's a pretty good guitarist to begin with. The kids are (almost) 8, 6, and (almost) 4. They do enjoy the Disney Cars game on the DS, so I thought they'd like the Mario Cart. I know we'll all love the wii Play because we've all played it before. The cow racing is blast- and it's easy enough that the kids can play it. Although I do suck at Tanks, and E22CAPT always kicks my but with the shooting game.  He specifically mentioned Cabelas Dangerous Hunts, that's why I'm going for that one.Anyway, those are the age ranges I'm trying to decide for. Are there many kid friendly wii Fit games? |

I agree with another poster that Mario Kart and Boom Blox are great games. Another really fun game that the wife and I love is the Williams Pinball game. While I guess a pinball game doesn't really take full advantage of the Wii, the game is incredibly fun, especially if you remember some of the old pinball games. Plus, playing with the regular controller and nunchuck (or whatever the other one is called), means you can hold your hands like a regular pinball game. In any event, it's a ton of fun. |
