What the hell. It was suppose to be deposited today. I used H&R block the second week of tax season with a direct depsoit, my last four are 99, and I make well under $75000. Damn .gov never does anything right they promise. Thier website says May 16, am I off or something? |

I got one, but I burned it. Anyone who cashes it is a welfare bitch.

If you let H&R Block deduct their fees from your refund you have to wait for a paper check. We paid TurboTax via debit card and our refund showed up this morning as scheduled. Matter of fact, TT didn't give us the option of deducting their fee this year. |
Thats funny. I paid 1870.32 in federal income tax out of my last check. I don't feel the slightest twinge of guilt in getting it back. Welfare to me is when you give someone something that they didn't earn, not give something back that was systematicly pillaged. I drive past the "welfare" office everyday while working. I lost all sympathy long ago. |

But nobody has "earned" a stimulus check. It's a giveaway of money that didn't even exist before the checks were printed. This was definitely "welfare"... not to each individual, but to America as a whole. It's just as disgraceful. I'm not saying that anyone in particular should refuse it, since we're all going to pay for it anyway. But this "stimulus" strikes me as the type of thing that would happen in the waning days of Rome. |
Mine posted electronically late on fri. evening, so it technically didn't clear my bank until midnight the following mon.
