OK serious question.  If you have lived through something crazy; it bugs you down deep, but each and every day you wake up, settle the dust, re-stack the cards, put on a smile and get down to business, are you just fine, or just fooling yourself?

What do you mean "Something crazy"? Not sure what you consider crazy. I am not sure I've been through anything too crazy, so its hard for me to understand. I mean I've had a few experiences, bad car accident, got food poisoning in the Amazon Rainforest and had to hike 3 days out and seriously thought I wasn't going to make it, my father passed unexpectedly, found myself in a burning building once, and had lighting strike the water 50 yards from where I was just about to jump in... Are any of these crazy by your definition?

That is all bad stuff, but no, more screwy than that.  Sorry about your dad, and very cool story about the rain forest!

If anything bugs you down deep, whether it's a horrible, violent, tragic thing that happened a couple months ago, or the loss of your goldfish 20 years ago, you should get help for it. It's not the gravity of the initial event, it's the result that counts. You want to run at top efficiency and this shit is keeping you from doing that. Getcha head shrunk, and get back to performing.

This.

Everyone needs help at some point in their life, there is no shame in it.

Near misses happen all the times. A few you can learn from, the rest you just shrug off and move on.

We've all been through shit that "bugs us deep down"......only you can answer the question as to how much and whether it's a problem. I've seen and experienced things that would fuck up a lot of people and I'm kinda normal.....and others have seen and experienced shit that would screw me up and they are fine.

Bottom line.....only the owner knows when the egg is in danger of scrambling.

Look at the symptoms of PTSD. It's not just for combat soldiers.

Could you be a bit more cryptic, OP?

I have to re-shuffle several decks a morning and I think I'm pretty squared away. Only you can know if your "stuff" is going to or is causing problems.

Crazy as in waking up on fire or surviving a chopper crash?

Because I've survived both and still have rather vivid nightmares.
