Quoted: So it ends today? Well apparently, if not maybe tomorrow. I don't know. I own one and it's never had a hiccup but every now and then I go into my gun cabinet and check it to make sure it's not self loaded itself, sitting there waiting to self discharge as I walk by. You can't be too careful with these dangerous sentient guns that can discharge all on their own. On a serious note, I still own mine but I've not shot it in some time just out of an abundance of caution a d liability. I have plenty of Glocks and other pistols. Too bad it's a nice shooting pistol. Maybe they can unfuck them. |

Quoted: Why do people still carry that giant piece of shit? It’s not like it’s a secret that there’s absolutely a problem with the design. Anyone who still willingly carries that turd is sharing in the fault at this point. Look at the amount of people that will come out of the woodwork to protect sig in this very thread... |

Honestly.....i have a history of "apologizing" for gun makers. Hell, I'm an HK guy. I have experience. I disputed the "Walker trigger" issues in support of Remington as well. I own 6 Sig P22x pistols that are EXCELLENT. But that 320 is a pile of shit. Fuck Sig. Fuck Meateater for constantly putting Sig optics/rifles/ammo in my face, fuck the .mil for sticking with it. Remember Glock leg? It was bullshit. People were shooting themselves. "320 Leg" has way too much personal and video evidence. It. Is. A. Flawed. Gun. (Lying Airmen notwithstanding) Sig is trying to buy/market their way out of it. I would respect them more if they just said, "we fucked up" All they had to do (5 years ago), was say, "hey, we made a change so this cant happen"........but their hubris wont allow that. Make Sig buy those m17/m18 back and roll out another M9. |
| I have a 320 it’s a good shooter but with all the stories and vids I will never put it in a holster. At the end of the day it’s a striker fired pistol in a market full of striker fired pistols. The thing that sets the 320 apart is the random shake awake feature, so why not just get a Glock, M&P, FN, CZ, etc…. |

Quoted: Would the thumb safety of an M18 prevent an UD? https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/130695/IMG_9668_jpeg-3750455.JPG The military guns that reportedly went off with the safety engaged would point to no. From the Okinawa incident: “The report notes that Person 1 (P1) was issued an M18 with two 17-round magazines; one magazine was inserted into the pistol, a round was chambered, the safety was engaged, and the M18 was holstered with the cover rotated over it. These actions were witnessed by Person 3 (P3). Along with Person 2 (P2), P1 and P3 proceeded to Gate 1 for guard duty. For nearly five hours, P1 and P2 rotated standing at the ID checkpoint until 10:00AM when P1’s M18 discharged while standing at the checkpoint. P2’s statement notes that P2 was in the guard shack and heard a loud noise. Upon exiting, P2 found P1 shaking and nervous. P2 asked what happened and P1 responded that the M18 discharged. After checking to see that P1 was ok, P2 visually checked with P1 that the M18 was on safe and called to report the incident. P1’s holster was damaged when the M18 discharged” |

Quoted: Ron Cohen needs to be in prison. No he took a plea deal in that case to avoid the possibility. “Ron Cohen, the CEO of New Hampshire gun manufacturer Sig Sauer, has reportedly struck a plea deal with German prosecutors over an illegal arms shipment. Cohen, 57, will receive a 22 month suspended prison sentence, and fines topping $1 million, according to German media reports. He was facing up to five years in prison if found guilty.” https://www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2019-02-28/reports-sig-sauer-ceo-takes-plea-deal-in-german-arms-case |

I remember in the mega thread several months back that this was discussed. The answer is no, the safety only prevents the trigger from being pulled. It does not block the striker or prevent the striker block from moving. ETA: at least that is what was said in the thread. I’ve never disassembled a P320 so I can’t comment beyond that. |

Quoted: "Steel Challenge..." My first question would be has the FCU been modified into a "match trigger". I only carry my Glocks, but IIRC our Sheriff dept carry's P320s and I have not heard of any issues. I wonder if it's high round count P320s and the premature wear of the Indian made parts and just poor design leading to the UDs? |

Quoted: "Steel Challenge..." My first question would be has the FCU been modified into a "match trigger". This should've been the first post for everyone. We can't blame the gun until we know if it's user error with a modified gun,w Which is common for competition. |

Not to say that Sig USA isn’t full of shit for selling to what were presumably the cartels, but fuck Germany altogether, that’s an American affair, not theirs. |

Ai slop: "Yes, the United States and Germany have a formal extradition agreement governed by a 1978 bilateral treaty and a 1986 supplementary treaty. Extradition is also facilitated by the U.S.-EU Extradition Agreement. These agreements enable the transfer of individuals wanted for prosecution or sentencing, though German law requires that the action be punishable in both countries and often prohibits extradition if it violates fundamental human rights, such as the risk of the death penalty." |

Quoted: No idea. The picture below was posted by my LGS today that happens to supply LE departments. Gee, can anyone guess why a PD would trade in a never fired never issued pistol? https://i.postimg.cc/Dz4gMRcn/Screenshot-20260421-202830-Facebook.jpg That's a good deal. |

Attached File Should be easy to repeat if it is a design flaw and is defective…. |

Will you STOP IT with the common sense?? Obviously the P320 is possessed by Satan's magical gremlins who only make it do the bad thing while nobody is looking and then the culprit gun is unable to recreate the phenomenon under controlled conditions. Which is EXACTLY how science works....duh!! |

It happened at Sig in Germany, where Cohen conspired with Sig employees to illegaly ship 38,000 guns to Columbia. Cohen was arrested at the Frankfurt Airport. |
