I am sick of the America I grew up with being destroyed. I remember when Ronald Reagan took the oath and Iran freed Americans because they new what the price would be if they did not. I remember my first vote for him when I was 18. I enlisted in the Marines because of him and those like him with the knowledge that I would be sacrificing a little for the good of all of us. I remember Jimmy Carter the Coward giving in to the enemy and the high interest rates and having no fuel for the old car my parents had because he gave in to little tiny states that had big balls..
I remember the pride I felt as a young boy to no longer be have to be ashamed  that a tiny country could make us do what it willed.
I served with pride and fought in Shield and Storm with more like me.
I now see the young men of this generation in a much harder war that should be easy. Our military is and always has been the best in the world and is only defeated by the cowards at home. The will of the American people has been crushed by the onslaught of the left and its agents in the media.
The enemy are cowards and there methods are the methods of an enemy that would all have been shot as spies in the great wars of our past. Yet our own government and our media and the left wing democrats have repeatedly told us that it is we who have done wrong by alienating those who attack us.
The country to our south is failing and it is spilling into our country and our leaders say that building a wall is racist. We are attacked in our homes by drug crazed criiminals who rape our women and commit heinous crimes and inmate advocacy groups cry that WE are violating the rights of the insidious when we dare to defend ourselves.
Our homes values are falling like rain, we are losing our jobs and our freedom. My leaders response to this is to attempt to steal our 2nd amendment right to keep and bare arms and tax me into oblivion. They will spend OUR money like it falls from the sky to pay for hog smell research and to pay obese single moms of 5 children to buy more wine.
Meanwhile, ammunition for my chosen rifle is over $1000.00 for 1 thousand rounds at a store called Cheaper Than Dirt.
The youth of America only seem interested in texting and watching American Idol, with the exception of the ones who come here or places like here.
I, will continue to vote and pay my taxes and operate within the system but I am to the point where I truly hope it fails and the true patriotic American who works for his own self and pays taxes to support the good ideals this country, the truly weak to be defended and the strong to do whats right make their own place to defend.
God bless America
Jim

Most of your tax money is not given to fat wine-buying women.  In fact, much more is spent than is asked of us.  Has been like this for 30 years.

How should the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have been 'easy'?

I want a big wall, too, but as of now, crime in El Paso... adjacent to an all out war in Juarez, is dropping.  How many of us have actually been prosecuted for shooting a drug crazed, mexican, home-invading, Illegal?  Is it a big problem in your neighborhood?  What are you trying for here?  The CNN/FOX/Nancy Grace effect?!

Maybe your will has been crushed by the left, but mine has not.  I'm more dispirited that the opposition party, my party, still can't muster anything better than a rotund megalomaniac shouting at us that the all we need to do is be more like Reagan while claiming that any other contentions or designs for the GOP are the machinations of New York elitists trying to keep face at their cocktail parties with their rich, liberal friends.

We went to war to prevent Iraq from getting nukes, and now a worse adversary develops them openly and we are powerless to stop them.  This is the GWB legacy and we barely made a peep in the last 6 years except to scream at 'idiots' who weren't sure about the Iraq war.  We bought this bed, made it, and now it's not comfortable.  MIght be like this for a while, but we'll be back when we can start making more sense.

The war should be easy because we have the power to overwhelm any country at will. We just decided to prosecute this one in a way that would not offend. Rules of engaement etc.... let our guys kill at will. Not including murders but killing the enemy, our guys KNOW who they are. Capturing them abviously just gets them realeased to fight again.
We give too  much money to 5th generation welare recipeints.

I didnt say anything about about getting prosecuted for killing mexicans.... you did. How did you draw that conclusion?
We are not powerless to stop anything, we have lost the will because CNN will show dead women that iranians killed and blame it on us troops.
This is what i was talking about.....

You think it would be as easy as our commanders telling their soldiers.... "You know where all the actual insurgents are, where they've blended, who's with them, who they've got intimidated... go in and kill ALL of the actual bad guys, men!"

As if counterinsurgency in a complex, multi-ethnic, fragmented nation of warring ideologies is as simple as that.

Come on...

Uh, I have been there, I have friends there. They know whats up when they catch 5 men of military age in the area where fire just came from or in the area where an IED just exploded. Its the rulkes that piss our guys off, not the fight. Or you can just tell me when you served over there....
