Interesting!  That's a new batch for the Alberta.  The last one had different packaging, and was higher proof at 66% ABV

Found these out in Alabama during a work trip. Flew them back home cause I can’t find them in New Mexico.

I was in my semi-local this past Saturday picking up a 4 Roses Barrel Select release, and they had 5 boxes of the Alberta on the shelf.  I didn't bother looking to see if it was the new batch, or the last one since I still have a bottle at home.

Did some bourbon hunting yesterday. We began in the Lawton/Ft. Sill area, headed to Wichita Falls, Texas and then over to Denton before heading home. No unicorns unfortunately but some exceptionally great drinkers. I was especially happy to find such a wide variety of EB including Distiller's Collections and cask strength. There were also some great store picks; Nulu, Blue Note and Tumbling Dice. I got lots of OF rye for those who've been jonesing here in Oklahoma where it isn't distributed anymore. Finally I normally don't buy Booker's but the 21-04 was only $76 on Ft. Sill. Oh, final stop was at Bucees for Nuggets and Yuengling.

@8588Hawk how was this vs their small batch? I have a place here with 15 bottles at $50 each. No rare picks but this place has a hell of a selection with dust forming on the bottles

$50 is a good/normal price for single barrel and it's significantly better than small batch. Get one and see what you think

Haven't opened a bottle yet.  Normally go to the Single Barrel instead of the Small Batch.  Will let you know but probably not this week.  $50/bottle isn't a bad price.

Nope. Elmer T Lee is $300 all day. Blantons fetch $100, each. Stagg Jr, depending on batch, $250-400 each, EH Taylor single barrel is 200ish, and EH Taylor Small batch is 80-100, each.

Actually, Elmer T Lee is a shade under $400, Blantons go for at least $200, Stagg Jr is about $300+, EH Taylor Single barrel is $300 and small batch is $150+.
And prices just went up. Here in the small town in WI where I live, the local liquor store has regular Buffalo Trace at $65. If I remember correctly, it was just $35 about two weeks ago.
It's making me rethink where I spend my money.

That’s WELL above secondary, even on national groups. ETL is dropping fast, easy to get below 300, the only stagg that goes for 300+ is 17 or anything below 12. Batch 13-16 are 250 tops and EHt SIB only goes to 300 for store picks.

You need to find better groups lol

Price increases are definitely present in KY but are not exclusive. I’ve made a few trips to KY and was able to get a LOT of good bottles at retail
