Ok. I need help from everyone now. For my stats class, I am polling 100 people for a project. The question is: how many times per week do you workout? Even if you don't workout, please respond for the accuracy of the poll.
ETA: Respond if poll option is not available. |

Does splitting wood with a Fiskars axe count? How about trenching with a shovel? Gyms are for nancy boys that don't know what work is, and have to pay to find it.
I guess the united states military is just a bunch of nancy boys. Shhh, they're busy being tough guy mountain men. |

I work out several times a day all week except Sunday usually but for the most part i am inside the garage as it's big enough to hold 4 diesel trucks so I don't need to work out unless the shops full.
After busting my balls 10 hours a day on average as the only mechanic for a 6 bay repair business my answer is a very large zero to any after hours lifting of weights for the sole purpose of being in shape. I'm too damn wore out! Can't really do any heavy cardio stuff either, backs been broken, spinal cord damage, busted up knees, shoulders and lots of arthritis sorta put a damper on that too, couldn't work the next day if I did anyhow which = no dinero. I know many guys my age (45) who have worked in trades that are in the same boat, some were lucky to not have wore themselves out to this point but it's very few. |

I'm not sure on how to answer. At work, I probably do the equivalent of a 1hr work-out at a gym (not weight training), but this is over the course of the day, not in a short period of time. At home on the weekends, I probably do about half that.
This is significantly more than the average office worker, but not quite as much as a UPS driver, and not anywhere what a beer delivery guy does. |
