I need to edit some text on a legal form. How can I scan it and edit it. All my scanner will let me do is scan pics.
I have a 1 year old HP Pavailion running Win XP. I cannot find any OCR software installed. Is there a shareware version that works?

Omnipage is pretty expensive.
I was looking for somthing for a one time use. I've had my scanner for five years and never had to scan text before. I don't think I will use it again.
