Seems like there were two tanks (at least) as remnants of a body flew into the frame from the other tank getting hit.

They attacked the airport earlier, but they did not take it back (it's in Kherson).  I'm talking about the offensives believed to be occurring against Russian forces encircling Kiev.

According to S&P Global Mobility, the war in Ukraine is anticipated to reduce global light-duty vehicle manufacturing by millions of units until next year.On Wednesday, the automotive research group, formerly known as IHS Markit, cut its worldwide light vehicle production prediction for 2022 and 2023 by 2.6 million units for both years, to 81.6 million for 2022 and 88.5 million for 2023.

The Ukraine war has led to logistical and supply chain issues, as well as essential vehicle component parts shortages. Many automakers, for example, get wire harnesses from Ukraine, which are used in cars for electrical power and communication between parts. The issues add to a supply chain that is already stretched due to the coronavirus pandemic and a manufacturing shortage of semiconductor chips.

According to S&P, European auto manufacturing will be the most affected. The company slashed its European projection by 1.7 million units, with just under 1 million units lost due to lower demand in Russia and Ukraine. The remaining reductions are due to war-related parts shortages, such as chips and wiring harnesses.

In comparison, S&P intends to cut light-duty vehicle manufacturing in North America by 480,000 units in 2022 and 549,000 units in 2023.

According to S&P, over 45 percent of Ukraine-made wiring harnesses are usually exported to Germany and Poland, putting German automakers at risk. Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine three weeks ago, automakers such as Volkswagen and BMW have been among the hardest hit.

According to my pilot friend, former Air Force F-15 guy.  It is more complicated than that.  The NATO MiGs are western electronics, glass cockpits, nato comms and systems.  It would take a month of training to learn to fly it.  BUT.  Learning to fly it effectively under duress in combat would take many more months.  Basically like going from a MiG to an older F-16.  He also did not think the MiG 29 has the type of weapons that would be useful in the current conflict.  Plus it would need to stay low away from Russian AD radars and it is a huge gas hog with horrible range at low levels.  And it is shitty at ground attack.  It can dog fight, but the Russians are not flying a lot of fighters over Ukraine as both sides are hitting everything with AD.

I think it was adequately explained in the analysis video someone linked in a few pages ago. Worth watching BTW. The key takeaways from the MiG-29 discussion were:
- Polish MiGs would need to be stripped of all NATO specific avionics and electronics (encrypted comms etc.)
- They would need to be outfitted with non-NATO equipment in place of some of those to be airworthy or more precisely combat worthy
- Doing those removals and retrofits takes time (probably measured in months rather than weeks)
- After that they would have to be tested to ensure they are airworthy/combat ready -> additional time
- Then they would need to train the Ukrainian pilots on the different cockpit and mission systems (more weeks or months)
- Although the MiGs on paper are multi-role, they are mainly outfitted and suitable for air defense (as in against other aircraft). That's not the primary issue the Ukrainians are facing at the moment. Most of the destruction is inflicted on them via artillery and various missile strikes (MLRS, ballistic, cruise) The MiGs would not be very useful against those.
- Due to the SAM threat environment they would have to fly low and the MiGs are infamous for having a short combat radius / endurance even when operating "normally". Flying low they may have around 30 minutes of mission time and then they need to RTB for refueling. So the Eastern part of Ukraine would be mostly out of reach for them.

I think it's safe to say that sending Ukraine MANPADs, ATGMs, armed drones, and small arms with ammo will make a much bigger difference.

Facts don't matter just propaganda. There are family members in both countries. Brothers cousins sisters. It's hard to tell the actual people to fight their families. Ukraine is corrupt and has biological warfare laboratories and launders money for elite families. Russia has too many faults to list. Sanctions don't hurt Putin they hurt the average citizens that don't want war there. Corruption has no boundaries in land language or currency.

Facts lol? We don’t need your Russian propaganda. Ukraine maybe be corrupt but it doesn’t give Russia any justification for what they are doing in Ukraine. There are about 150 Russian “old guard” politicians that keep the game going that needed to be culled like the Nazis after WW2 at Nuremberg.

It’s the only way to wipe the threat of it occurring again off the face of the earth.

Yeah, a twin seat medium range fighter bomber/strike aircraft.

Its a shame, they're beautiful jets. Along with the Su-30SM and etc. Sadly, Russia just uses them to bomb civilians and hospitals.

London (CNN Business)

The Russian state television journalist who took a dramatic stand against President Vladimir Putin's war in Ukraine during a live broadcast says it was "impossible to stay silent" and that she wants the world to know that many Russians are against the invasion.

Marina Ovsyannikova told CNN's Christiane Amanpour on Wednesday that many Russian journalists see a disconnect between reality and what is presented on the country's television channels, and that even her mother has been "brainwashed" by state propaganda.

'It's a tragedy we are witnessing'

"I have been feeling a cognitive dissonance, more and more, between my beliefs and what we say on air," said Ovsyannikova. "The war was the point of no return, when it was simply impossible to stay silent."

This is bullshit. They gave Ukraine a list of demands and called it a “Peace Plan”.

Ukraine will obviously and rightly reject what is basically a surrender demand and Russia will say Ukraine rejected a “peace deal”.

Pretty much, except its way bigger than the f15. Pilots are side by side and it even has a little bathroom in it. It's got an armoured cockpit too.

And it's very expensive.
