Its all posturing anyway; ok so now they can raise tariffs.

On WHAT? Not oil, not gas. What else are we going to raise tariffs on to punish Russia? They dont export jack shit. Palladium, rhodium, dirt and plywood. Big whoop.

...but hey lets not let a good opportunity to stick some BS in there to modify a completely unrelated law to give more power to the POTUS.

Wow..

"I have never seen something so embarrassing. The Taliban were better fighters than the Russians. They are surrendering in their droves. It's embarrassing."

"For the second largest army in the world it is a joke. I have seen prisoners surrendering, I have seen Russian soldiers faking epilepsy attacks to get in the back of civilian ambulances in the hopes of getting out."

Agreed.  To call J6 an attempt to overthrow our government, and to compare to Putin's actions was stupid.  Otherwise he presented a well told message to the Russians.

It was a refutation of a bullshit assertion that sought to play down the heinous targeting of civilians, so no Karen, I won’t back off as long as that shit persists. Thanks for your concern. It might come down to whether or not they can surround and cut off Kyiv.

If they can siege Kiev, does not mean they can take it. Big difference. And if Kiev turns into Leningrad 2.0 and they will have 500 people drop dead every day from starvation with no food, water, power or anything, NATO will probably "do something about it".

It is a lose-lose situation for Russians. They can't take Ukraine, lacking manpower. They could theoretically occupy the country and turn entire cities to dust. They would have to completely destroy Kiev to take it, Stalingrad-style. With hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties and same on their side too. Really that's the only option and it's not an option for several reasons: Public opinion, manpower and what is the point of taking over a country if it's destroyed into stone age. They want to occupy Kiev, not turn into another Stalingrad but Stalingrad is what they will get.
The battle for Berlin caused them to lose 200K soldiers as one data point.

So they can't win, can't go back with nothing and can't dig in and stay in place. The russians threw their army under the bus so to speak, which could explain why they act so  vicious towards civilians. They see the writing on the wall.  The war of attrition is a two-way street. And the question is who will lose that war first.

https://funker530.com/video/tow-missile-cuts-car-in-half-nsfw/

SACLOS, wire guided missile tracks are parallel to the ground, slow, and jerky.  But clip the wire and they go crazy.  Jerk the sight to hard and the wire can snap.  Its very thin.

This was some sort of Russian wire guided SACLOS antitank missile.

Yeah that's not a javelin. That's something else. Javelins don't flare like that. You fire, dump the tube, keep the clu and haul ass.

You won't see a javelin like that. Maybe not at all.

Colt's submitted a request for BATF approval on October 23, 1963 and the first consumer AR-15 was produced for sale by Colt's January 2, 1964. For decades, Colt's was the only option if you wanted to own an AR-15.

They don't have enough working vehicles to send 87,000 more.

But they have horses.

The new recruits can ride into Ukraine on horseback to relieve their depleted army.  Then not only will they have plenty of new troops, they can eat the horses for food!  See, it's all part of Putin's masterclass on 3D chess...

How does anyone believe that some Americans tried to actually overthrow the U S Government on Jan 6 ?  Seriously? A hand full of  PROTESTORS IS NOT AN ATTEMPTED OVERTHROW OF THE U S Government.  I mean, how dumb can anyone be to actually believe a few protestors were attempting to overthrow .gov?

It's not Russian owned, it's a Russia-friendly Kremlin amplifier. The owners father was a state-friendly journalist in Communist Bulgaria.  Multiple analyses of content on Zerohedge have demonstrated that it propagates Russia friendly stories through its content referrer network much more often than other sites. That could be due to the owner's Russia-friendly bias, or it could be due to an arrangement.  The problem with these alt-news sites is that they lack any transparency, have no editorial oversight and no publicly available owner or interest data. At least with shills like WaPo and the NYT, they are transparent enough that you know which interests they are pushing.

A good ambush tactic would be to have guys on both sides of an elevated road. Have a few guys on one side start ripping off rounds, pop an RPG maybe, then high tail it out. They will begin “taking cover” on the opposite side to return fire. When they are all piled out open up with the main element on the side they are exposed.

I get it. They're going to catch a ton of shit for voting no, but I get it.

Oh, shit, sternly worded sanctions? Please no! Drastic shortage of Russian...stuff coming! Like vodka and...does Russia make anything no one can get anywhere else? I like Stolichnaya too, but it's not like there aren't 87 bajillion other vodkas. They have wheat, I guess, usually. Not so much now, but other places grow wheat for export. They have natural gas, and oil. and refined petroleum products too, but again other places have that stuff also, albeit at a possibly higher price. But after a thorough 120 seconds of deep file searching in my mind, I can't think of any uniquely Russian products the lack of which would severely disturb anyone's daily life on the entire planet worse than a minor or moderate inconvenience. I don't think the lack of new nesting dolls and gilded giant eggs and paper flavored bodka is going to cause any issues with anything that's important. But I admit a fairly large amount of ignorance on Russian imports and exports.

This.

Only thing is, I am not sure they lost their "best". Russians have a habit of sending penal battalions into battle to clear the way for more experienced, organized units.
Penal battalions were formed from ZEKs, or prisoners.  If your battalion gets encircled, you become a traitor, "Enemy of the People" and go to Gulag and then to a penal battalion to "redeem" yourself.

I wonder if Putin plays stupid for now, lets them think they are winning, let's this continue for a bit longer, exhausts UA and then throws more divisions into the meat grinder, this time real, not BS conscripts.  That's how they won in Stalingrad. Threw fresh reserves into the battle.

Thing is, not sure he has that resource. Or can command anyone to go. Who in his right mind would climb into a box on wheels only to end up under fire.
