from the Russian Ministry of Defense: shooting the Ka-52 and Mi-24 from the first person while escorting columns and ensuring security during the landing at the airfield in Gostomel.

In the process of completing the task, the Ka-52 was hit when it covered the Mi-8 with a tactical assault force with its side.

The leader's helicopter was fired upon by MANPADS from the ground and anti-aircraft guns 18 times. Having received damage, the crew made an emergency landing and took up all-round defense, which they held despite the continuous fire impact of the Armed Forces of Ukraine until the arrival of the second strike group of helicopters.

The crew of the damaged helicopter was not injured and was evacuated to the base airfield by the second strike group of helicopters. Thanks to the courage and heroism of the crews of the forward strike group of Ka-52 and Mi-24 helicopters, the landing of the airborne units was carried out without losses.

Geolocation at 01.05 — the helicopter is operating on the northern outskirts of Gostomel.

Zelensky may become a candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize

He will not win.
1. He's fishbelly white, and fairly close to the actual Caucusus range which is probably equivalent to some sort of super duper whiteness is likely how the Nobel committee that does the soft awards like peace sees it. Like, Obama won it before he even took office just for being black.
2. LOL

Yeah, I considered the Nobel Peace Prize to have lost all legitimacy when Obama got it.

And Yasser Arafat, and Al Gore, and...

The Nobel Peace Prize was turned into a sick joke a long time ago.

I mean, it's kind of a sick joke to begin with, in that it's founded by the inventor of modern high explosives, who felt guilty that he had helped usher in an era of explosive violence that left millions dead.

2022 wheat went in later summer/fall of 2021 and will be harvested this summer. Corn planting started in February and is still ongoing in some areas.

IOW, that ship has set sail for the year.

The field corn that’s used for ethanol is also not “our food”, but rather, the food of our food. We eat sweet corn. If you stop production of that, then feed prices get even higher and so do meat costs.

Farmers are going to plant what’s profitable. If many could magically plant wheat right now, you’d so a glut and prices would plummet.

Released by the Russians today.
It's pretty bad when their IO consists of gloating over battlefield trash, showing the same fat officer talking, and 3-week old videos of now-destroyed units and helicopters right before the pilots have to land and run away.

I'd say an unlimited amount of non-NATO, non US backed countries.

Just keep up the meat grinder ATGM party favors while NATO countries re-arm.

Every day of combat+sanctions Russia grows weaker and more isolated, while more and more NATO sees the wisdom of re-armament, so not sure why we'd want them to stop.

China has been gearing up for something since before COVID. A lot was chalked up to a construction boom and COVID related transport issues...
Don't be surprised if a lot of that has been overstated.

It's shocking to the point that I've started to question everything politically related.  If the people that I actually know are this insane then how crazy and unhinged are the rest that I don't?

The other option is that all of the Qtard/NWO/Clinton sex slave/PoN folks are all agitators paid by some foreign foe to discredit the conservative movement.  Honestly I doubt this - I know people IRL that believe this crazy shit.

I'm not suggesting boots on the ground. I'm suggesting that if we live in fear of his nukes, eventually we will HAVE to call his bluff, or let him have anything he wants.

We do it now, or we do it later. Period.

Calling his bluff can mean many things, like outfitting Ukraine like we have been.

Because it has nothing g to do with political influence anymore.

Once the tanks rolled across the border it exited the world of soft power kerfluffle.

Let’s set aside all discussions of basic principles of morality, because if you’re asking this question you clearly don’t operate from a standpoint of morality.

Much of the wealth and prosperity this country enjoys is due to our position in the world.  We have a globally linked economy.  That’s a sone deal.  If you’re still arguing we shouldn’t have our evomybkinked to the rest of the world’s, you are arguing we should still be using horse snd wagons.  It’s a done deal, now and forever.

We will all benefit from maintaining certain norms of global stability, and Russia invading Ukraine is a drastic disturbance from that stability.

If Russia is unsuccessful and punished for their little adventure, it will reaffirm the order and help our influence.

As far as wheat, hard red red wheat is a minimum of 12mos out to increase production and a maximum of about 18 months, depending on when you start. We're currently at the near maximum for northern temperate zones. You can't sow hard red winter wheat until fall, with a harvest the following early summer, if there's good weather, Maybe you could get some durum semolina or other low protein summer soft wheats now if you start right away and harvest some in a few months by early fall or so, assuming you can get seed and and such; I'm not a farmer except on Ganymede.

I'll bet the Belarusian army has even shittier equipment than the Russians and while I'm sure some of it is propaganda they obviously have moral issues. I'll bet the Poles would go through them like a hot knife through butter. With heavy nato air support it would make everyone rethink the whole MBTs are obsolete thing that's going around.

Is that a mistranslation? Did he actually say "to Ukraine" instead of "in Ukraine"? "May" instead of "is"? Lots of transporters *may* carry cargo. What are they going to do, shoot down a plane in NATO airspace? Sink a ship in international waters?

Much of the wealth and prosperity this country enjoys is due to our position in the world.  We have a globally linked economy.  That’s a sone deal.  If you’re still arguing we shouldn’t have our evomybkinked to the rest of the world’s, you are arguing we should still be using horse snd wagons.  It’s a done deal, now and forever.

We will all benefit from maintaining certain norms of global stability, and Russia invading Ukraine is a drastic disturbance from that stability.

If Russia is unsuccessful and punished for their little adventure, it will reaffirm the order and help our influence.

Can you explain to me--in coherent terms--why you are willing to start a nuclear war to prevent Russia from having too much political influence in Ukraine?

Once again, rando on the internet with the power of Google or a think tank charged with shaping national security policy going back 70+ years. Certainly a hard choice for the objective reader...

With the corner you've painted yourself into, I can clearly see why you keep trying to hastily distance yourself from this conversation. Resume your absorption of Russian propaganda as fact at your own peril, just don't try and convince everyone else it's unassailable fact.

Can you guys take your dick slapping elsewhere.

Certainly. I can see how an additional 3 pages debating where an airborne body came from out of frame post explosion in a video rather than discussing the subject of Russian propaganda and its impact on the conflict is much more productive.

Perhaps you could just let site staff that's actively participating in the thread and editing posts decide what's on topic instead of cluttering up the thread playing hall monitor.

But the fact that they are even proposing the idea sounds like an attempt to soften the reality that NATO will be getting dragged into it.

They've already tried.  It's like a punk threatening you after you bloodied his nose.  Russia fucked up big.  In a world where it didn't inherit the Soviet nuclear arsenal, Europe and China would carve it like a fat pig.

It's a normal Russian play.  They say something that could mean several different things, and let the world stew and panic thier way into thinking the worst.

They allude to many things without actually saying anything concrete

American Indians/US Government

I was going to reply with examples, but I was spoiled for choice and couldn't settle on any particular example and then I realized that if someone only knows of Hitler, they are probably not all that interested, really. The fall of the Hellenic empire, no, lets go back. The Hittites, the Assyrians, Pharaohoic Egypt where Joseph and Jesus went....it's not hard to research in a spare hour or two.

Actually, I think the age of the pharaohs was over when the Holy Family fled from the Herodic progrom, but that's not important to the underlying theme.

Translation:

from the Russian Ministry of Defense: shooting the Ka-52 and Mi-24 from the first person while escorting columns and ensuring security during the landing at the airfield in Gostomel.

The former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics poisoned ~1/7 of the habitable area of the planet in only 70 years with radiation and toxic waste. They wrought havoc on the environment in spades from hell to breakfast. The Chernobyl event was like having cirrhosis, tobacco caused emphysema, lupus, arsenic poisoning, and getting worked up over a bad paper cut in the webbing of your hand. China is just getting started. See, when we massively fuck something up, which we have, are and will do again, until recetly, whole rafts of people shout it from the hills. But in a top down central tyranny, there is no dissent. Anyone that attempts to bring up any objections disappears without a trace. What  problem? Who? Never of them.

Yes, towed and vehicle mount. They also have a limited number of Tunguska and a moderate amount of Shilka. Both were getting modernized but the plants doing that are in occupied or contested territory now so who knows how many they actually have active.

There's a freeze frame held on some halted Ukrainian (probably) trucks, a couple seconds later there's a THUNK and the pilots level the helicopter, land in a field and unass.  Pretty sure the implication is they were hit by ground fire from the truck guys.
