How many ground forces do the Ukrainians have?
Theres is: Army National Guard Marines Border Guards VDV (which I think is an independent organisation) Who all operate at least brigade sized formations. Is the Army/National Guard divide similar to in the US? What is the rational for this divide? Is it just a holdover from the Soviet Union? |

The guys from the 88th battalion of the 35th OBrMP shared a video of repelling an enemy counterattack on Storozheve
Katsaps in the amount of 4 cars broke through to the village, where they were completely destroyed. In the video, you can see the impact of the BMP and the already damaged T-80 BV. Marines also took prisoners. Pay attention to the beginning of the video, where "Ruzkies do not abandon their friends." The events took place two days ago.

The Ground Forces are under the Ministry of Defense while the NG and BG are under the Ministry of Internal Affairs...unless Martial Law is declared then they are subordinate to the Army. The Marines were Under the Navy (Naval Infantry) until last month when they became part of the Ground Forces. The VDV and TDF are separate parts of the AFU. |

The ATESH partisans network asks all its affiliate to sabotage all piece of Russian equipment in the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia area "Attention all agents, the time has come. We turn to the maximum sabotage of orders and damage to equipment in parking lots and repair bases. We do everything as we taught earlier: we pour sand and sugar into the fuel tank and the neck of the gearbox of armored vehicles. Priority: Zaporozhzhia and Donetsk area. But if you spoil something in the Crimea, we will not condemn you;) We duplicate the training video that was shown earlier. Example: Over the past month, we have done a good job in the field of sabotage. In the Zaporozhzhia region, the 429th motorized rifle regiment, which was located in the village of Lobkovoe village lost 3 armored personnel carriers and 2 BPMs. For some reason they broke. You yourself know what happened in Lobkove afterwards. We express our gratitude to the agents who had a hand in this. We do not stop, we spoil all the equipment that you can get to!" PS Lobkovoe was liberated last week View Quote |

The correct action for Russian mobiks is to discard arms and run forward with arms in the air, waving a white cloth, until they find friendly (Ukrainian) positions. There is no hope for them in running to their rear. |

QUICKSINK That variation of the JDAM is amazing. That hit would be 100% fatalities. Nobody is getting off a ship alive when hit with that. Practically all fighters can carry it. Up to 15 mile range. I found this statement interesting while looking up its specs: JDAM performance has been demonstrated in operationally representative tests including drops through clouds, rain and snow. These tests included a B-2 releasing 80 JDAMs on a single pass against multiple targets. 80 JDAMS in one pass. Wow! @RockNwood Here is the first 80 JDAM test pass with the B-2 using inert early versions of the GBU-38. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdzJWciha4A Awesome! Why would they fake it? Blocking units have been part of Soviet/Russia army doctrine probably even Tsarist Russia forever. So have penal battalions. No need to fake it, both sides are well aware of their use. |
