I bet once the Russians really got desperate and cut loose there were ricochets landing in all directions for a kilometer or two. It won’t surprise me if info comes out in the long term that some crewmen were hit by Russian gunfire and/or some ships suffered damage. |

Sorry to just jump in, but wanted to say hi to everyone. Things have been great. Had a few tense nights with Shaheds flying around, but the AA gunners were putting in some late night hours. God bless those guys keeping the cities safe.
Have to go out sometime in the near future. It's nice to get "out the office" so to speak. My girl also "reminded" me tomorrow is Women's day. I love her for not letting me forget. Of course I'll send her some money to go shopping, and take her daughter out to eat. Back to work... Spent some time tonight packing my bag as needed and adjusting the kit. I added an admin pouch in front of the ballistic dick protector. Looks like my Glock will fit in there nicely. I have a holster coming in the mail, so I'll add it to the battle belt soon enough. We also got some really nice med kits from St. Javelin, with some CAT TQs. I added a TQ to the battle belt, and the new med kit got thrown in my bag. So now I have two med kits, and five TQs. Still loving the CZ Bren 2. Reached out to CZ for some spare parts and they shipped some our way free of charge. It can be a challenge getting parts for a lot of the foreign equipment/weapons in country now, but it's working out. As you can see the snow is mostly gone, so changed my helmet scrim and pack scrim back to browns/greens.  Attached File Attached FileWork has been good. I am loving the new team and my position. I have a few guys under me, and our team leader is a great guy to work with. I am glad I am getting my work done, and the chance to prove myself in the team. It feels good when the TL sees what I can do, and asks me if I can go out and do "X,Y,Z" on a mission. Keep up the good work keeping this thread alive. Now, remember artillery is way behind the lines normally so not everyone will be documented BUT Oryx shows 350 towed guns and 688 self propelled guns having been lost/damaged. That does not take into effect those that are breaking due to firing rates without maintenance and also firing Best Korea ammunition with amazing QC. Just over 1000 guns lost is a sizeable number. Still loving the CZ Bren 2. Reached out to CZ for some spare parts and they shipped some our way free of charge. It can be a challenge getting parts for a lot of the foreign equipment/weapons in country now, but it's working out.  The Russian Federation has developed a device for remote coupling during the evacuation of equipment - in theory, there is no need to climb out of the ARV under fire and attach towing cables. It consists of a frame in the form of two rods, at the end of which are installed guides for the installation of lugs, the frame mount contains a telescopic rod, with mounting on the bulldozer with the help of an eye. It works like this - when making a hitch, the crew does not leave the armored space. The mechanic-driver, observing through the observation device, maneuvers the machine and the bulldozer coulter and hooks the lash on the towing hooks of the evacuated machine. One then the other hooks the tow bar to the towing hook of the towed vehicle. In general it is difficult to say how it will show itself - it depends on the driver's qualification. However it will not turn out to be very much longer than getting out and hooking by hand (and it will turn out to be so)
