I just found out what my sister is doing her thesis on for her doctorate degree in psychology. It concerns alternative schools. When I was a kid, you were sent to alternative school for a few days instead of being suspended. However, apparently up in the Illinois area it's a place where they go for the whole year if they're problem kids. If anyone has knowledge of the system, preferably works in the system please post here so I can follow up with a question. I would say e-mail me but I've shut it down for the time being due to so many people trying to send me that virus! Reason I'll wait to ask the questions is that I'm sure as soon as I post it this thread is going to need to be locked or deleted. |

Both my kids and my brother and sister go to a Montessori school, they are pretty alternative, lots of granola crunchers and sandal wearers. We do shooting in their basement and eddie eagle has visited on more than one occasion. (they have a college placement of 95% into Ivy Leauge schools, the other 5% go to other colleges). |
