I just got a net of M Frames. The lenses have a small hole in them, and the frames have this plastic piece that 'locks' into the hole. From what I can tell, this is just for extra retention and is not necessary. Therefore, I can remove it without any ill effects and can use regular (non SF) lenses with them too? Thanks! |
I assume you are talking about the M-Frames that look like this:  I have never fooled with an Uncle Sam issued pair, but I believe the lens shapes are exactly the same as standard M Frame lenses, and the only difference is the little retention clip. You can probably eliminate the cip and use normal lenses just fine. |
