Freakin Scam! Wife comes home freaked out. Because she saw a Blue Cross rep set up at a table, at our local Wally World. Blue Cross was actually putting the fear into people, by telling them the tax penalty for non compliance will be multi thousands of $$ per year, per person. WTF? So, to calm the Mrs. Down a little I decided to check online to see if anything changed. GD can they make it anymore confusing? As it turns out, I am the only member of my family of 5 that will need a new insurance plan. Kids were covered under my wife's plan, because mine sucked azz at best. Anyways as I thought the penalty for me should be less than $500 a year for the next year or two. Now here's my Rant! Who the hell benefits from these ridiculous insurance plans! Not me. Not Joe citizen! The best plan that I could possibly afford has a deductible of $1500 a year, with a monthly premium of $257! WTF Over! Let's do the math shall we! $257 X 12 = $3,084 per year + $1500 =$4584.00 or $382 per month before I see any benefit at all! That is utter Bullshit...The only people benefiting from this are the insurance companies, who are about to take in even more cash than they were before. So a big Fuug You! to our Most Wonderful Leader! In this case I will not comply!! Anyone else have the same problem? Yah I know, 0/10 on the rant. Ohh! And Fuug Blue Cross to for trying to scare people into compliance! Who is our best bet to get this shit repealed??? |

wrong. Insurance companies will run the exact same profit MARGINS they did before. Just enough to stay in business and be competitive with other companies. All that extra money you are seeing in premiums isn't going into their pocket. It's going to cover all the new bullshit they are forced to cover that you should be paying out of pocket for yourself as well as all the pre existing conditions that they are now forced to cover. Just wait a few years until everyone realizes it's cheaper to be uninsured until you need cancer treatment or get diabetes or some other chronic illness. Premiums will rise ten fold pricing everyone out and bankrupting insurers eventually. Just as the commie fucks planned. Then these moherfuckers and the media will go on a campaign to blame the "free" market and declare a need for single payer. This shit is planned out bro. The insurance companies aren't making out like bandits. They are doing as told just like the banks did before the housing crash because if they don't they know they will have regulators and government accusations and investigations so far up their ass they can taste it. Our government is far beyond what we revolted against initially. Similar actions will eventually be needed,. |
|
You're right, but you're reading it wrong. No one will pay those prices because paying those prices is the same as being self-insured. Instead, they will take the penalty and the insurance companies will get shit. This is why they are paying someone on a Sunday to sit at the store and scare people. When no one signs up, the insurance companies will get creative for the next couple of years until they go belly up. Then, the government will save us with single payer. This has been covered many times.

It's not the Insurance companies. It's simply a wealth transfer from the middle class to the poor. The Insurance Companies are simply money changers. I would say go and give your money directly to an FSA family, but Obama will still tax you. |

CLUSTERFUCK. I am in the business and I see whats coming. I work for a huge health insurance company and I have lost my doctor, my bills have gone up, AND I lost my FSA (flexible spending account).
F the O. And victorgonzales is right on the money with his assessment. If you can't see it, you are blind. |

That is utter Bullshit...The only people benefiting from this are the insurance companies, who are about to take in even more cash than they were before. Wind your neck in a bit and educate yourself. A lot of the insurance companies are shitting themselves because they're going to lose a ton of money even with the new higher rates - Obamacare totally fucked up their ability to plan ahead and set rates to match their population of insured customers. They can't run the margins they're used to because they've lost nearly all ability to plan ahead. Most of the rates are higher because you're being forced to buy stupid shit you don't need or want. The white house has gone full-retard, drumset-banging amateur hour on this. They are totally out of their depth and are resorting to magical thinking; Obama and all his rich spoiled little white kid staffers don't understand that the real world doesn't work by decree. What we're seeing is exactly what you'd expect from an office full idiots like the Pajama Boy from the ad campaign. Now, because they're losing money hand over fist many of the insurers are going to get the GM/Chrysler treatment due to the automatic bail-out provisions in the ACA. They don't want anything to do with it, because they know full well that the gov't is going to use that as a lever to start exerting control over their day-to-day operations. When that happens all bets are off. Some of the insurance companies backed this on the condition that they'd get a hand in drafting the bill so as to make something relatively functional. (Yes, they were fools). They didn't count on the Dems pushing it through in such an idiotic manner without proper corrections or amendments (large parts of the bill are working at cross purposes - none of which are good ones for us), or on Obama's cronies fucking up the implementation so badly. The bill was not designed to benefit you at all - but they did such a shit job between their incompetence and ignorance that it's not even working quite they way they wanted or expected it to. The bill was designed to fuck you. Instead, it's pretty much going to fuck everyone. All in all, it's a giant worst-case shit sandwich. You couldn't come up with a better example of the government fucking something up if you tried. About the only thing it will do that some of the Dems intended is to trash the health insurance system and get people pissed off at insurers - just like your rant here. And good luck on getting it repealed. I don't think the GOP has the balls to try, at least not before riots. |

Who benefits from these plans?
Three parties: 1) A certain government agency expands its workforce by 15,000. That's pretty substantial. 2) Frei Scheisse Armee 3) Medical coverage firms. Moar income, fewer payouts? Question: Why haven't you bought stock in medical insurance firms? |

It's the contractors that do IT infrastructure for records compliance (much of which has long since been done - those provisions went into effect almost immediately) and the staffers who drafted the bill. Those who know the workings of the ACA and/or can grease the wheels for exemptions now command ridiculous fees for consulting. Personally, I think Obamacare is fucking great. The sooner the shit hits the fan the better. It's already inevitable, might as well get it out of the way. |

Why does it matter if a male has to buy breast cancer insurance? Can't the insurance company just charge him $1 for the service and treat it like it's not there? Because those parts of the law are there to make those guys subsidize the costs for everyone else. As I said, the bill is designed to fuck you, by; - Transferring money from groups the left doesn't like, to groups it does - Pile on more laws. The more laws, the easier it is to drop the hammer on people - Create work for their cronies in certain industries (compliance IT work and community groups (under the guise of social services, mainly) - Wreck the insurance industry to justify nationalizing it various ways Additionally, parts of it are to: - Fiddle-fuck with shit they don't understand to satisfy their ideological urges to fuck with things. (example: Pelosi rambling about artists not needing to worry about health care) - Pander to the useful idiots and FSA What is so hard to understand about the concept that somebody doesn't like you want wants to to fuck you over and take your shit and give it to people they like? This isn't rocket science. As soon as it looks like they can retain power permanently through force, the knives are going to come out. Doing that won't bother them one bit, why do you think they care about wrecking you financially? It's gotten this far because people keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they're just stupid but acting in good faith. People need to wake the fuck up - when someone starts with all the marxist nonsense they need to be hounded straight out of civil society. There is no place in a free nation for one group to rob another simply because they outnumber them at the ballot both. There is no peace with these people. |

Obummercare is just another tax and spend Ponzi scheme, forcing everyone to buy something of limited value for an inflated purchase price...or be fined. The regulations forced on the legitimate insurance industry are absolutely intended to bankrupt them...forcing people into single payer. This, kids, is how criminal monsters enslave a nation. ![]() |

| Our premiums, a couple, is over $1000 a month and our deductible is $6000 per person. Worst insurance I've ever owned and it is also an HMO so I can't wait to find out where I have to go for care. My "unacceptable" policy was much cheaper and had a lower deductible, not to mention it was accepted everywhere. Thanks you fuckin liberals! |

I found some exemptions that just might work! 1) If My Religion prohibits health care? Well shit I guess the Jehovah Witnesses are on to something! Next time they knock on my door they will get invited in for milk and cookies instead of the door slammed in their face! 2) if I am an American Indian? Well my Grammy was a card carrying member of the Cherokee Nation. I wonder if they will take a 1/8th Irish, English, Norwegian, German, American Indian? ![]() 3) Residing in a Foreign country? Are they really trying to get rid of honest Americans? There are more exemptions, but I havnt found them yet! Looks like Ima gonna be a Jehovah's Witness! Seems like my best bet, Praise Jesus! You are right that it isn't going back the way it was but, not because of the healthcare industry. It isn't going away because it is a huge power grab for the government and everyone in government loves more power (with a couple of exceptions). The healthcare industry made a deal with the devil and will be federalized shortly, enabled by the chants of the masses. |

I looked into the marketplace myself. My monthly premium was $150 and my deductible was $5000. I'm an unmarried, unemployed (technically), full-time student. Where the fuck am I going to get that money, Obama? I said fuck it and I'm going to pay the $96 penalty for not getting insurance. Thanks, Obama!

| The wife & I have spent some time on the Arkansas insurance exchange. You guys are in dream land. We can get better (lower deductibles and lower stop loss) thru the exchange than we can get thru employers. And that is before any subsidies. Our overall insurance premiums are guaranteed to go WAY down. You guys must be smokin' something while perusing the insurance exchange. |
