So congress and all staff are exempted, many unions exempted.
How about a little box to check on the tax return, "Tax me" / "No, thank you". Of course the entire thing is a scam given the "exemptions" cited above. How that jug eared piece of shit isn't impeached and convicted for even attempting such shenanigans is beyond me. We've had a lot of crooks in charge, but exempting some folks from a tax just because of who they vote for is the oddest shit I've ever seen. |

I've heard this over and over from conservative voices (I'm a staunch conservative) but every time I've tried to verify it I can't find anything. From what I can gather Congress is subject to Ocare. I do however understand that the unions were given waivers and extensions. I'm not calling anyone a liar, I'd just like to see proof as I've gotten into this argument with liberal douches multiple times and haven't really been able to defend my assertations. |

They passed a LAW that applied to all citizens with no exemptions. They voted for it, they passed it. Only when it became clear that it would fuck them all over, same as us, did they ask to be exempted. And of course FBHO said hell yeah. Same with the unions. Big percentage of his, the dems, base. This should have been the strategy from the get go.
Once it passed and Roberts flipped and upheld it in the SC, then it should be fought like anything else in this country; equality. If you want this law to fail, force it on Congress and the unions. Zero exemptions. Everyone forced in the same boat using the same paddle or no one is. |

The reasoning for Congress and staffers being exempted is that they already have health care plans. Which they do. But who pays for their health care plans? Their employer plus their contributions? Fucking LOL. ALL of that money already comes out of your pocket and mine. We already pay for it. They only fought, and won, NOT to be included in obamacare. As far as the unions, you'd have to ask the president about that. |
