| The wife, son and I went to Bass Pro Shops this past Saturday. The firearms area was packed and the gun cabinets were 50% empty. Thanks to the salesman of the year (Barry Soetoro) firearms are selling like hot cakes. |

From a vendor perspective, I saw panic buying, and still do to some degree on magazines first.
Then it moved to Ammo cans- locally ammo cans sales are 5x what they normally are. And in recent weeks I have seen a large increase in first aid kits and trauma kits. Not sure if it is panic buying evolving where guys are saying "I have my guns, what next" or if it is unrelated. |

I think that what you are seeing (the panic buying move on to more SHTF things) is related and will continue to escalate. |

Laying in, or rather wife is laying in more canned goods than usual. Steadily adding to supply of ammo when I find a reasonable deal Wally world has been fairly decent with its prices considering. Pricing flour mills and raw wheat currently too. Starting to take some course work for surviving the coming storm also. |
