Quoted: You know, there's somewhere around 7M people that live in DFW, and I assume most of the adults got up last Monday and went to work all week. Accountants, trash guys, plumbers, doctors, whatever it may be. Presumably, the Cowboys got up every day last week and worked on football, in their shiny new Ford Center. I've been right by it many times, it's real nice. So if the accountant deleted all of the quarterly financials, the trash guy dumped all the trash in the street, the plumber flooded every house he went to, the doctor misdiagnosed every patient they saw....they'd all probably get fucking fired. Not a single one of the stupid fucks on the Cowboys will be fired, or held accountable whatsoever. So what's the fucking point????? View Quote The examples in your 1st sentence do real work. |

Quoted: Quoted: I said it before and I'll say it again: you will never see this thread more active than when the Cowboys get blown out. Personally, I couldn't care less about the Cowboys either winning or losing. I don't particularly like Dak Prescott as a player but there are a lot of players I don't like. I'm happiest when the Dolphins win and after that, I only care about the rest of the AFC East losing and finally, the AFC contender teams losing. |

Quoted: Should have listened to Packers fans when MM was in the running for the job. View Quote I was suspicious of the guy that only got 1 SB out of the best qb I've ever seen from day 1. His teams are sloppy and undisciplined. He clearly give no fucks about penalties. Lining up in the goddamn neutral zone and jumping offsides because you can't watch the fucking ball are not normal things for professional football players. This shit is covered at length in 7th grade 'B' team practices. It should never once be called in an NFL game. But here we are. He clearly condones it, it's the only explanation at this point. |

The game didn't play out as an aberration. McCarthy tends to become predictable and stale. I don't even know if he's changed much since leaving GB. Quoted: Quoted: I’m convinced that Dak Prescott is a stupid stupid motherfucker. He had 6 seconds to throw it away and took an 8 yd sack instead. San Fran scores again. My 9 point loss prediction is looking conservative. Quoted for posterity. Good. I like the guy as a Human being from what I’ve seen. He’s an ok QB. He’s just not a great QB. Not that it matters, the rest of this team ain’t good enough either. Dallas would be better off trading him and using the draft capital to start over. Instead, they’ll pay him $60MM/season in a couple of years which will slam the door on this playoff cycle. |

They have been irrelevant on the field for 3 decades but they are up there with the Lakers, Yankees, etc as the most hyped teams in pro sports. At least those other big name teams have actually won in this millennium. At some point they’re just a name. They have 5 SB titles. Who gives a shit? Montreal has won 24 Stanley Cups but they have been a dumpster fire for over 30 years. Carolina’s offseason may surpass the Hershel Walker trade as the most idiotic move of all-time. Turned down (2) 1st Rd picks (‘24 & ‘25) from LA for Brian Burns, who is a 1-dimensional average pass rusher who sucks against the run and now they can’t resign because he’s asking for elite money. Traded CMC, arguably the best player in the NFL, to SF for peanuts. Traded (2) top 10 picks and DJ Moore, a 25yo #1 WR who’s locked into a team friendly long term deal, to Chicago so they could draft a 5’10 180lb QB. This offseason they are gonna hand Chicago a top 3 pick and either overpay or lose Burns and have an offense with no WRs/RBs and a 5’10 180lb version of Teddy Bridgewater. Versus being in a position to add Caleb Williams or Drake Maye AND Marvin Harrison Jr to an offense with McCaffrey and DJ Moore. |

Sources have told NFL.com that former Chargers CB JC Jackson refused to enter the Raiders game in week 4, after being a healthy scratch in week 3. He reportedly stood on the sideline, with his shoes untied, and refused to enter the game even when an injured teammate needed to come off the field.
Multiple coaches attempted to persuade Jackson to enter the game in the third quarter after Michael Davis injured his ankle. Jackson refused, saying, among other things, that he wasn't warm enough to play ... |

At some point, we have to stop talking about him as a beneficiary of Shanahan's system and give him credit for what he's doing here. Yes, he's in a very QB friendly system. Yes, the offense around him is LOADED. But he is statistically excellent, and he looked the part last night. Josh Allen leading the league in CPOE while still getting the occasional case of the YOLOs is a little bit funny to me. I guess he's really that good when he's on. However, what I won't do is jump on the "this is who he is going to be for the next 10+ years" bandwagon when he hasn't even started 17 games in his career. We've seen young QBs have similar stretches only to, not long after, see their careers start to go downhill and a few short years later they aren't even considered "average" by most people. Maybe that will happen to Purdy. Maybe not. Either way, I think its way too early to crown him. |
