Big charts:
Click To View Spoiler The Saints are playing like the best team in the NFL, the Panthers are the worst, the Chargers have the best defense, and the Rams might be missing Aaron Donald. Maybe. lol Derek Carr and Calamari are the best QBs so far with Allen and Mayfield joining them with video game efficiency stats. Sam Darnold continues to look weirdly good. Justin Fields is in an interesting spot. PFF thinks he's playing better than his stats indicate. |

Make Occam's Razor Great Again
It's not about if you win or lose. It's about how many rules they have to add afterwards. |
From the prospective of “a fan watching your team play a game in September,” which is worse:
#1. A game where you know your team is going to lose at halftime. #2. A game where your team has a 99%+ win probability, but they blow it at the end. Personally, I think #2 is worse. At least with #1 you slowly realize your team is going to lose and you can even watch something else in the 2nd half if so inclined. #1 is just straight up gut-wrenching. |

The Saints are a team that haven't made the playoffs since Drew Brees retired in 2020, and they've blown out the worst team in the NFL and a Cowboys team people are skeptical about. Beat the Ravens next week, and people will be asking if the Saints are that good or if the Ravens are that bad. Beat the Lions and the 9ers next month, and people will really be talking. But after two weeks? It makes sense. |

Via Forbes: Aaron Rodgers voted NFL's 'Most Annoying Player'
Action Network recently polled more than 3,000 football fans and asked a handful of questions, including who is the league's 'Most Annoying Player?' Rodgers, now with the New York Jets, was the runaway winner garnering 27% of the vote. Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce was second with 17% and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Odell Beckham was third at 10%. Rodgers was named 'Most Annoying' by 24 of the NFL's 32 fan bases, including Green Bay's. Kelce was named 'Most Annoying' by the other eight fan bases. |

If they had a lead, they were competitive. And that type of game is more entertaining IMO. |

He notes that adjustments for strength of opponent haven't been established yet, so numbers are pretty crazy. Teams 1-5 are the Saints, Seahawks, Chargers, Vikings, and Texans, 14-16 are the Cowboys, 9ers, and Bengals, and the Chiefs are at #18. |

I enjoy it in limited doses with the right guest. I also will pretty much never watch it for a game in which I really care about the outcome and/or is close very late. They can make a boring game more interesting, but they also sometimes get sidetracked while the game plays in the background. |

In 7 of Lamar Jackson's last 10 losses, he had the lead and possession in the last 10 minutes of the game.
The 3 exceptions are 2x vs the Chiefs and 1x vs the Bills. Which means the only way that Lamar and the Ravens have lost is by either: A: Facing elite quarterbacks on winning teams (Chiefs and Bills) B: Choking a lead away List of the 7 losses as well as when they had the ball with what lead:Click To View Spoiler
