I need to find radar or similar.  It must be likely to get far worse in a few hours.

I just found radar coverage of Florida and there is a line of possibly strong to severe weather mostly running NNE to SSW and to the west of Tampa.  I can't tell when or if it will hit the launch site so assume that the 45th Weather Squadron knows what to expect.

I have two sources (neither is SpaceX) showing the Starlink 6-34 launch delayed one day to 11 December 2023.

If you can see the SpaceX twitter link see if they delayed Starlink 6-34 a day like they did the Falcon Heavy launch.

My phone is hard to pull info off. Was the falcon 9 set for tonight at 815 been postponed?  Spacex.com/launches doesn't even show it.   Next spaceflight.com shows the lau ch for tonight being postponed to tomorrow.

I'm at the max brewer bridge getting bummed out more and more by the minute.

Here is the info from the spaceX.com website on the Falcon Heavy launch

SpaceX is targeting Monday, December 11 at 8:14 p.m. ET for Falcon Heavy’s launch of the USSF-52 mission to orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. A backup launch opportunity is available during the same time on Tuesday, December 12.

It has arrived for sure.
Was sitting outside and it and it blew up in an instant. Palm fronds are dropping like flies and squall type rain, the winds are strong.

Yup, I got that too. I was sitting in the hotel room and heard a loud whoosh sound outside. Looked out the window and it was blowing hard and pouring down rain.   Ah well.  Hopefully tomorrow is better.

ITL is a pretty good spot.
You get to catch both of tomorrows launches from there?

This is the discussion from 1:00 PM EST on 10 December 2023 for the Starlink 6-34 launch on 11 December 2023.

Launch Mission Execution Forecast
Mission: Falcon 9 Starlink 6-34
Issued: 10 Dec 2023 / 1300L (1800Z)
Valid: 11-12 Dec 2023 / 2300 – 0300L (12/0400 – 0800Z)
Forecast Discussion: A strong cold front will push through the area tonight, bringing showers and a few thunderstorms.  By sunrise Monday, the front and associated weather will have pushed well offshore, with surface high pressure building  across the state. This will set up breezy conditions for Monday night’s launch attempt but otherwise favorable weather.

This northeasterly low-level flow will strengthen further by the delay day opportunity as a weak trough develops along  the old frontal boundary to the south, also triggering a few more clouds locally.   Thus, liftoff winds remain a concern for both the Monday night and Tuesday night launch attempts, with a secondary concern on the backup day being additional upper-level cloud layers.

Source

Liftoff winds are also a concern for the Falcon Heavy launch.

Falcon Heavy from ITL, Falcon 9 from our balcony most likely.

It's cold but nice weather so far today

Integrate Test Launch complex. You would need badges or someone with badges and a car pass.

Standing down from tonight’s Falcon Heavy launch due to a ground side issue; vehicle and payload remain healthy. Team is resetting for the next launch opportunity of the USSF-52 mission, which is no earlier than tomorrow night.

I'm curious about that as well. NSF mentioned in their latest video that NASA doesn't allow any launches at the cape 24hrs before any crewed mission and the commentators were speculating that the same restriction may be in place for the X-37 FH launch.

24 hours before, yes.

No restriction on another launch once that launch had cleared the area.

However, that (unwarranted) restriction seems to be the cause of the delay of tonight's starlink msn. Spacex will likely have to wait until next year to break the 100 launch cadence.

Kind of wondering if I should stay in Titusville and see if they launch tonight or go home? I've been here sense sunday morning. Done all the usual sight seeing like the warbird museum. I actually went to that twice killing time. Once yesterday, once today.  Went to a bunch of other places too.  I'm in Daytona now screwing around killing time while mulling over the idea of going home or staying another night.
I'd really, really like to see a falcon heavy launch in person. But damn I can't just sit around for days waiting for them to go. This is my 3rd day here waiting on a launch.
What do you fellas think the odds are of them launching the heavy to night?
Link Posted: 12/12/2023 12:11:55 PM EST

The odds of launching tonight are a bit better than than last night.

Probability of Violating Weather Constraints is 20%.

Up to you. If you miss it, you're going to miss one hell of a show.
