I believe that this is the first fifth flight for a first stage.   May have nothing to do with this abort.

My analysis.   The camera angle and stupid timer graphic made seeing actual events hard.  I just looked again on the computer screen (not my phone this time) and to the right you see lots of white "smoke" which I assume is the effect of engine ignitions hitting water.

If the engines start at a lower than liftoff power then ramp up over a few seconds, this could explain the steam and the "high power out of family" reason for the abort.

PS..the announcer needs to look at camera footage before declaring liftoff.

yeah that was a less than optimal camera angle on this one.  I was expecting to see what I normally see and the lack of it set off a flag in my stupid brain.

Thanks, alarm set.
How many of the new launches have the internet satellites with the less reflective coating?
And, the ones that did have it applied, did it make any difference?
Have been wanting to view them as I do with The I.S.S but it's been cloudy during most of the viewing times.
Sure miss watching the Shuttle playing 'catch up' with the ISS as they got their orbits synchronized.
Thanks!

Don't think we will see the boost back burn today.

Booster is going to land 350 miles from here on the barge.

Probably no boostback burn when there is an ocean barge recovery.  Ballistic trajectory until the re-entry burn.

Did you see that object fly past Stage 1 at 6:42?  Fairing?

Just heard...couldn't recover Stage 1.
