Question for those local to Florida. We are vacationing to Universal Studios between Christmas and New Years. If there is a launch that week we want to try to watch from as close as we can. Where should I be looking at going?
I see one the schedule for the 18th lands at the LZ1, if that gets delayed and launches that week, I would love to get to watch that one. |

Are those spots normally packed with people for routine launches or only for special launches like the falcon heavy or return to launch site landings? |

The day after Demo-1 I tried to get in there because I was interested in camping there for a launch. I drove up and told the guy I was thinking of camping here for a future launch, can I take a look around for a few minutes and leave? No, had to pay $10 or whatever it was just to take a look at the camping area. Guy was a real jerk about it too like I asked to see his wife naked. So how's the camping there? |

View Quote I think Jetty park is closed for camping because of covid. The boat launch is a public facility and it's free parking , and there is lots of it. Take a left turn at the park entrance and you are right there. It's right beside a shipping terminal. It's also directly across from the sub base a CCAFS and occasionally you can catch a boomer coming or going. Those boats are massive and most impressive ! |

It's a bit choppy out there...
".WIND AND SEA IMPACT... A fresh to strong northeast to east breeze will produce hazardous boating conditions across the coastal waters today and tonight. Northeast to east winds 20 to 25 knots with seas 7 to 10 feet are expected and a Small Craft Advisory remains in place for the adjacent Atlantic waters." |
