Russia is not the USSR... here is a little comparison: USSR circa 1960s: ~12% of world economy ~7% of world population ~28% of world military spending ~13% of world manufacturing output ~20% of world R&D expenditure ~20% of world energy production Russia circa today: ~1.7% of world economy ~1.9% of world population ~3.5% of world military spending ~1.2% of world manufacturing output ~0.8% of world R&D expenditure ~10% of world energy production Russia is a rounding error in global power. Nobody would give a shit about Russia if it weren't for oil and nukes. |

Its personally hard for me to take someone chucking rockets for entertainment purposes into orbit seriously, that I shit you not even flew to another country to copy their design View Quote It's hard for us to take you seriously when all you post is fake bullshit. Literally, everything you post is fake. You keep repeating Elon stole a design. How about naming this design and country? You can't because it didin't happen. Elon initially did go to Russia to buy a LAUNCH but Russia wanted so much for their shitty rocket, an old repurposed SS-20, Elon said fuck you guys, I am going to build my own. And he did, with an American designer named George Mueller. And it was not a copy of a Russian design but an original one. |

From this map it looks like they have about eight launches that are not in operational orbits. That is almost 500 satellites. Get those babies up so people in southern US states can get their Dishy McFlatface.

Did they just launch a group of star link satellites within the last hour or so? Is there a chance that I could see the train that they create after they launch them?

Serious question: Is there are reputable source to buy SpaceX rocket debris? Just thinking it would be epic to own a piece from a Falcon 9 booster that blew up in the early days of development, or a piece of the early StarShip tests that also didn't fair to well.
I would seriously put it in a shadow box, display it, and keep it as a family herloom as a tribute to SpaceX pioneering getting humans to Mars within my lifetime. The brass plaque would also quote Elon in saying "I never give up". |

Is there a reason that sometimes the first stages return to the launch site, and sometimes land on drone ships? Which is intended to be the standard method going forward?
