It is a pretty big deal

Looks like a decent amount of video lag to audio. Could just be my internet though

Awesome!

With all the messed up crap going on in our country, it's so nice to still have something that makes me genuinely proud to be an American.

Pretty awesome.

I’m glad about this part of the timeline I live in. Honestly this stuff has given me a lot of joy with the crappy stuff the last couple years.

People in Virginia have seen similar launches low in the east or southeast.  Give it a try.

I could barely make it out as it crossed the sky. Just a faint exhaust plume. Too much light from the moon.

Still an awesome and monumental/historic launch!

And the reason it worked so well, is that the Gov isn't running it.

Finally saw a launch, and it was really cool.

SpaceX mission control always looks like they're using white folding tables.

Are they going to be the highest anyone has been since Apollo?

I'm pretty sure they will be higher than the shuttle ever went.

That’s my understanding. Only Apollo and Pegasus have been higher

Storm just south of Kissimmee blocked it from Winter Haven. Caught it for about 2 seconds before it went behind the clouds.

IIRC, the Gemini flight was the highest manned earth orbit, ever.

Apollo was "higher", but on a lunar injection and orbit.

Sounds like this is higher.

I haven't seen a flawless launch in a long time.  No weather issues, no boats in the clear zone, no vehicle faults, totally nominal from what we saw.  Amazing.  Take that NASA.

The only thing better would have been Elon crawling in and taking a 5th seat underneath them.

My coworker saw SECO-1 and I caught Stage 2 clearly right after that, even with the haze in the atmosphere, as it travailed past the moon and made its turn North Northeast. Right about T+ 9min
