I remember reading something when they were first recovering boosters. They said getting rid of the soot is almost as expensive as stripping the paint, and if they didn't remove the soot, a repaint would not "stick".

They should develop a "soot" paint scheme for them, so any additional accumulation just adds to the effect.

Saw this on the way home from bowhunting this evening.  Called my wife to tell her to look as well and she saw it. I had no idea what it was until I figured out it was a launch.  I had a verified UFO sighting for a bit!

they are winning falcon heavy launch now because the competition literally does not have any rockets in que to bid against them with, since bezos doesn't have any engines for vulcan

Go to Heavens Above to see if you have visible passes.  You have to update the location (upper right) to your area.

Then select the Inspiration4 link

Of course.

SpaceX is trolling them with showing off the dirty stages.  Every launch that Bezos sees he is reminded how far behind his company is.

I think it's in various pouches. And there are a few different heating options available, I think...

On the SR-71 they could just slap something against the window and it would heat up pretty fast.

Make sure that the orbit shows about 575 x 575 kilometers.

That site is currently using an element set that is a 218 x 572 kilometer orbit

When you click on Inspiration4 under Satellites you will see the following:

Search period start: 15 September 2021 00:00
Search period end: 25 September 2021 00:00
Orbit: 218 x 572 km, 51.5° (Epoch: 16 September)

The dates will change but you want both orbit numbers to be close to 570 to 575 km
