Here's where we can post what we are currently drinking and/or have drank in the past and discuss what we thought about it.  I'm not a professional beer rater or anything.  I typically enjoy drinking craft beers and until a few years ago would only drink stouts and porters. Since then I have tried many India Pale Ales and have been enjoying them just as much. I really don't have a "go to" beer per say but when out at a run of the mill restaurant in the the area they usually have a variation of Dogfish Head IPAs on tap that I'll drink or whatever is in season...pumpkin ales, bourbon stouts, etc.

This is your thread to post pictures (preferably ones you took yourself) of whatever beer you like drinking, doesn't matter what it is. Pics aren't necessary but we all love pictures.

Tonight I'm drinking a beer from one of my favorite brewers, Evil Twin. They are a "gypsy brewer" , which means they do not have a brewery and use another brewery to brew their beer.

So, tonight I am drinking Evil Twin Naked Lunch. It's an imperial stout that I poured from a 11.2oz bottle into a snifter. This beer has roasty malt taste with hints of chocolate. Very easy drinking beer.

While Jefferson vehemently opposed a strong central federal government, he apparently had nothing against strong ales like this one. Thomas Jefferson's Tavern Ale is a golden ale with dried fruits and toffee aromas inspired by Jefferson’s original recipe that called for wheat, honey, and rye from his Virginia estate.

ABV 8%

I am a big fan of Yard's Brewery's Ales of the Revolution. This one tastes like a good pale ale. If you want a better description, check it on on Beer Advocate.

They also have a porter based on Washington's Recipe, one of my favorites........The last one they brew is Ben Franklin's Tavern Spruce...It's okay, not something I would have every once in a while but I like it because it is unique - brewed with spruce tips and twigs and molasses...Of course based on his recipe.

How about what we wished we were drinking, I had Kentucky bourbon ale a few months back and was impressed. I wish we could mail order different beer from around the country

Replying to my own thread. I also drank a Cambridge Brewing  The Audacity of Hops Belgian style double Ipa. I'm pretty new to the Belgium ipas and I never heard of this one before and decided to give it a whirl. I prefer a strong smelling hoppy beer for ipas and this one smelled mostly of grapefruit and floral hops. Very light tasting and went down smooth. Good stuff. I paid about 7 bucks for the bomber and poured into a tulip glass.

No kidding, there are tons of good beer that is a real pain in the ass to get due to either hype or location.

Homebrewed Hefeweizen. No pics at the moment but drinking it out of a Delirium Tremens glass. Not the traditional serving vessel but I like tulip glasses.

I began this evening with Ballast Point Big Eye Ipa. I bought a case of this already knowing I would like it since i had a sixtel of this stuff not too long ago. This particular picture was taken a few days ago and in my opinion this beer is much better straight from the can. I know it's blasphemy to do this but the nose was much better smelling to me from the can.  Great Ipa, lots of grapfruit, citrus, & pine. If you're an Ipa nazi then you owe this a taste.

Ha ha,, all of these are married guy, drink one or two a day, or on a weekend.

If I can't drink fifteen to twenty in a setting, NO THANKS.

Lovin those Coors 16oz. big mouths. They go down fast.

Next, Dark Horse Artic Dekoorc Eert. Whatever the hell that means but it can't taste that bad since there is a zombie armed with a chainsaw on the label.

I bought this in a variety pack that had the original Dark Horse Crooked Tree Ipa. I read that the "variety pack" is the Crooked Tree that uses Citra as the malt. This one is pretty bitter. It's decent but the original is better.

No pics, but about the only beer I commonly drink and love is Shinerbock. Not a whole lot of craft selection in my part of Texas or I would probably be expanding what I drink.

Id rather drink a pint of Chimay blue or St. Bernardus 12 than 8-10 light beers. It has the same effect.

ETA: Where did you find the Innis & Gunn?? My wife would hump my brains out right now if I could find her some. She drank a lot of it when in Scotland.

Those are my type of beers. I drank a bunch of those in Amsterdam and found many here in Houston. I really like the Chouffe's and the Westmalle is decent. I found a Chimay Grand Reserve in a special bottle, I don't know if it's different than the blue bottle but I can't wait to try it. Here's what I drank today. The Founders is a pretty big Ipa at 9.4%. It was pretty decent. The Evil Twin was more malty than hoppy. I've had this quite a few times and I like having one every now and again. If you like stuff that's real hoppy then I'd pass on this one. The next is Pretty Things Fluffy White Rabbits. This is an abbey tripel. As you can see its nice and light colored compared to the other two. Very citrus nose and not too bitter on the finish. So far I haven't had anything I did not like from Pretty Things.
