not an xbox owner. but came across this. someone here may need this info.
http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/11/06/fallout-4-xbox-one-owners-may-have-downloaded-incorrect-file Xbox One owners who've pre-ordered the digital version Fallout 4 may have downloaded the wrong file. In a post on its official forums, Bethesda is alerting Xbox One owners who pre-ordered the game on or before October 27 and aren't using the "Instant On" power mode that they may have downloaded a placeholder "stub file." |

preordered the game for pc, building new system tonight replacing build from 2011. trying to avoid all the leak spoilers except for some random combat vids and some screenshots that avoid quest info or story. huge fan of the series, played the hell out of fo3 and new vegas, cant wait for this one! the hype train is real. choo choo! |

I'll be getting it on the PC...in 6-12+ months when the bugs are mostly worked out and there are some good mods. Doubt there will be many bugs they didnt even public beta test it. Lol, when was the last time a Fallout or Elder Scrolls game came out not riddled with bugs? Bethesda kind of expects the community to fix the game with them. If I had the patience, I'd wait like a month before I play it just so there are some decent fixes....ah who am I kidding I'll probably be playing it at midnight.

I cannot wait.
I will be using my standard stealthy-marksman build. Not to mention, other than checking on the GD thread a couple times (and barely reading anything on purpose) and seeing some of the headlines on IGN, like how they will have tons of free updates, I really don't know shit about this game. Going in completely blind, which I usually don't have the self control to do for a game that I am really looking forward to.

I have it pre ordered on Steam, hell I even ordered a new custom PC just for this game. Unfortunately it won't be here in time 
So for now I will be stuck trying to play on a Alienware Alpha with i3 processor... New build is going to be perfect for running on ultra high settings whenever it gets here - Intel Core i7 6700K - NVIDIA GTX 970 4GB - 16GB DDR4 RAM - 250GB Samsung EVO SSD - 1TB 7200RPM HDD - Z170 Motherboard - 750W PSU - Windows 10 Question for those running a SSD/HDD rig, are you planning on installing FO4 on your SSD? |

| Watched a few unboxing and pseudo reviews of the Pipboy that comes with the Pipboy edition and decided to cancel my order and just buy the steam version. Playing on a keyboard with that thing on would be really difficult. My Note 4 doesn't fit anyway, so I'll just use the app on my phone in front of the monitor. |

Did a fresh build of Windows 10 on a SSD and Fallout is downloaded and pre-ordered. Thanks for the CD key tip on the MC server. I am going to have to avoid the Reddit threads for another day! |

If anyone has not installed the pip boy app on your phone (it will work with or without the pip boy edition of the game) you should. There's even a demo mode that lets you experiment with it and see what all it can do. It's pretty sweet. I put it on my ipad this weekend. If it actually works like it appears it is supposed to, it will be impressive. |

It's very cool so far, I'm not going to give out spoliers but the graphics are amazing. The vibe is very cool, and their reading algorithm is amazing. Some of the NPC's have pronounced the name I typed in at the beginning perfectly. This is pretty cool news. It always annoyed me that the NPC's won't say your name in RPG's. |

I didn't read the review itself, but if it still got a 9.5 I am betting it isn't much more than some minor/superficial things. IGN has done games with game breaking bugs before and has given them a very low score (or refused to give a score until the game was patched) due to the bugs. |
