I got a Glock in trade and ended up with a Glock 21 Gen 3 with some magazines that say For Govt/LE use only.

Looks like it's been used a bit but appears to be in good shape, any issues with this generation of Glock?

I plan on replacing the springs just so they don't give out on me unexpectedly.

Also are parts for older generation Glocks harder to get than current models?

Send the stripped slide to Glock and they will replace all of the internals for free.

Not at all, the latest parts will drop right in the older ones.

Do I have to say they are worn out or do they do that for older models?

Also i read the newer style double recoil springs don't work in older gen Glocks, is this true?

G21 gen 3 is gtg. Enjoy it OP.  Probably only needs a recoil spring at most, if the round count is unknown.
