so last summer the BP Oil spill happened. the so called experts said the Gulf would die and it would years and years before it would ever be like it was. well we were there last year. the water in Panama City Beach was clear as a bell. never saw the first hint of oil. in fact we were there on two different occasions and never saw anything.

fast forward to this year and the water was perfect again. I have never seen so many bait fish in the water as I did this year. from the fisherman I talked to, they said fishing was great this year. lots of dolphins early in the morning as well. the freaking beach crowd was wild. just about every condo and hotel were sold out weeks in advance.

and the fireworks on the beach on the 4th were something else. I know that there will be some trailer payments missed because they were spent on fireworks. we heard one guy say he spent $800 just on his fireworks and he didn't have the biggest ones that night. these fireworks would rival any cities fireworks display.

so where are the so called experts now??? of course they cannot be found.

Destin was nice last month- snow white beaches, multiple dolphin sightings, good fishing off the pier, shittons of seaweed.

We just got back from Destin 2 weeks ago, and it looked the same to me as all the times we went when I was younger.

We even caught 14 Red Snapper and a Wahoo on a chartered boat.

The face time on tv pronouncing their expertise is not there anymore.  If is happens again the same people will be back.  Money, money, money, liberals/left wingers love it but pretend to hate it.

The ocean did die. As a Floridian, it was quite easy to see.

A lot of coral died off. Off shore fishing is dead (gulf side).

It did change a lot.

Fireworks in Panama City Beach are pretty sweet, it's been years since I have seen them but they would set them off from the pier over the ocean....quite a show.

As for the oil spill, yeah it was bad and it shouldn't have happened but it's just another way to show that the earth can and will fix anything we fuck up. Hell an underwater volcanic eruption can make the BP oil spill look tiny in how much life gets destroyed but CNN doesn't go out bitching and complaining about seismic activity, probably because they can't point their finger at anyone.
