He always does a fly-by on the Fourth over the channel here in Ketchikan. Buzzes downtown and the cruise ship docks with his flag. Considering he's in his 80's, it is even more remarkable. Thanks for another great show!

Yup, a weight, and it can be seen in the photo although it is just a blur. The same technique is used by skydivers. Very cool to do it with a helicopter!

Yeah, my crappy digital cam didn't show the weight too well. The fly-by is a staple of the 4th around here. Always quite the sight to see him thumping overhead flying the colors.

How does he land? Isn't there a danger of the flag tangling in his rotors? Very neat IMO though!
