Has anyone on the forum got any personal experience with the Ooni pizza ovens? I see lots of paid reviews, but nothing that seems genuine.

I have an older pellet style. Does great on campouts, and does not require but a couple of cups of pellets. That said, my propane ovens are much simpler to use. Cheap one and a Solo Pi.

Be sure to buy one that is big enough and hot enough. A friend gave me his Ooni because nothing fit in it.

My 5 burner built in grill is a natural gas unit that I am running on propane. It gets hot enough to do extra large pizzas in just a few minutes. It pegs a 600F thermometer.

How do you like using it? Ive heard some posts about being difficult to achieve and/or maintain specific temperature.

I have a Karu 12 (wood fired) that probably gets used 3-4 times a month. It’s pretty simple to use once you get it figured out and turns out great pizza. Only regret is not getting a 16 for more space.

I just bought a Ooni Koda 16 yesterday and made our first pizzas today. I'm very pleased with the results. I watched a ton of YouTube videos and got 4 pizzas made without any issues.

I bought an Ooni 2 years ago - it has been great overall. The propane burner that came with it capped out. Their warranty service sucked, but a new burner wasn't terribly expensive. Since then, it has been solid.
