I started this so that all info related to the Operation: Anchorage DLC is in one spot and people don't have to search through the last several pages of the FO3 thread to find the relatively scant amount of information posted there. If you don't want to see spoilers, this thread probably isn't going to be for you. So, share your tips and tricks, as well as any questions you have. I honestly didn't think it was that hard; I beat it in one sitting. I didn't find all of the Intel but had a frustratingly close 9/10.

I think if you get all 10 briefcases you get a new Perk, I only got 8 though... and I didn't feel like going on a scavenger hunt.
That gauss (sp?) rifle is cool and all, but I'm hesitant to use it, because there's nothing to repair it with... The ice power armor is awesome, because it can't be hurt because of a glitch with it. So until they fix it, wear the shit out of it. |

Quoted: Is there anywhere you can download this besides using the game for windows live client? I don't think so, unless Direct2Drive picks it up or something. It cost us X360 users 800 credits (about 9 bucks), so they will likely have the downloads clamped down pretty good for a while. |

Screw the T51b armor. The stealth suit paired with high stealth and the silent running perk makes you an invisible man. It can also be repaired with recon armor.
I have high strength and high melee skills and I can use the shock sword to kill enemies with one slash. I can do it right in front of another enemy and they don't blink an eye as the corpse turns to ash. Actually I have seen other enemies watching the guy I just killed fall to the ground, and they just go about their business. It kind of makes it a little to easy. |

how do i play it? i downloaded it from xbox live but i cant figure out how to play it. i just got live a week ago sorry for the noob question After roaming the wastelands for a few minutes you should receive some kind of radio signal and a quest will pop up called "Aiding the Outcasts". Pick the quest and a blip will show you where you need to go on the map. I started a new game recently and the quest was available a few minutes after I first left vault 101. |

Check your radio stations, you should be getting a message that will generate a map marker. The door that leads to Bailey's Crossroads is near the Red Racer factory. |

I was really interested in this until I read about the fact that you can't acquire items in the simulation that carryover to your regular game (360 version). Anyone know if the other two DLCs coming out are going to be different? You can actually but it is very tricky and you have to get all the way through the sim in order to find out if you're set up right. It involves picking up a dead body and setting it up in the sim pod so the body is right in front of you. The items you obtain in the sim are not taken out of your inventory until a second(maybe less than a second) after the final loading screen is done loading. Basically if you have the body set up correctly, and you press A fast enough you can "search" the other guys body and move all the stuff you picked up in the sim to his body before it's automatically taken out of your inventory. I did it but barely. I had to look down first, and if you push A without the body there to search you will exit the pod before it's fully open. In my opinion it's not worth the trouble of trying. You get an extra Gauss rifle and you get to keep the winterized combat armor and helmet. Everything else obtained can be easily found in the regular game. Also, the items you get from opening the blast door after you finish the sim are well worth it. Here's a tip: Early in the second half when you get to choose your load out, drop your first choice of stuff on the ground and then choose a second load out. It makes the ending battles a bit easier. |

Anyone know if the other two DLCs coming out are going to be different? Yes you can...though they didn't intend for you to be able to. What you need to do is grab Gary23's corpse out of the room next to the simulation room and drape him over the foot rest of the chair before you get into the pod. Save before you get into the chair. For this to work when you get into the chair he should be right in front of you after the pod closes...if he falls off the foot rest it won't work. You then play normally, though you will lose the stuff you accumulate up to the point you report to General Chase at the Field HQ. Make sure you find all 10 pieces of intel and aren't over-encumbered when the sim ends. When the final assault on the Chinese goes in, save before you enter the refinery. Try to end the boss fight in the refinery as far from the door as possible so you can save before Chase gets to you for his final speech. Once the sim ends and the loading screens appear...look where you think Gary will be and start hitting "A", if you get it right you will open him as a container. Dump everything into him or you'll lose it. You'll end up back in the pod with what was on you when it began. You then can open the VSS arsenal which has more goodies and finish the quest normally. From changing loadouts then dumping your weapons before going to the QM (you can kill the QM for his combat armor but make sure you have all the weapons loadouts you want first), and dumping your ammo and hitting the ammo dispenser for a refill repeatedly....you can accumulate a shitload of stuff. Look up thread for my first post for what I took out of the just the sim.....that didn't count what was in the Vault. At a minimum you could bring out as much ammo as you are willing to spend the time to accumulate, and cash it in for lots of caps or never have to worry about ammo for a long time. As for the Vault...once you're in grab the stealth armor and weapons so Olin doesn't and if you haven't done "You Gotta Shoot them in the Head" yet (or already have all the keys and don't care) do not take the T51b armor until you have done that quest....it will still be there for you. |

i messed up on gary's corpse positon is it possible for me to dump it via pipboy? Nope, it won't let you dump it that way because you're in a chair which makes the game think you're in "mid air". If you see he is off when the pod closes then reload. I draped him over the foot rest so he was held up by his arms...you should practically be right on top of him. |

Damn i'll have to go through all over again. It will be worth it. Edit:at the end when you have to kill the general i found that when the power armoured guy with the super sledge dies he drops it for you to pick it up. |

High speach makes the ending battle a piece of cake. Jingwei is damn tough. Probably the closest thing to a boss in the whole game. |

Make sure you pick up all the intel, you get a perk and the ability to bring stuff out may hinge on it. You can get another shock sword by shooting it out of the General's hand then grabbing it before he does. And make sure you're not encumbered before the sim ends or you won't get anything out (I had to dump a lot of frags and mines to get underweight again). Using the speech check to win the fight with the General is not recommended....you want to get in a save before Chase catches up and debriefs you otherwise you'll have to repeat the whole last scene if you don't get the dump right. |

I saved it while the screen was fading to white, after the conversation with Chase. |

I got everything right this time and brought back a whole bunch of weapons and ammo. I dont have to worry about reparing anything now. |
| What's ironic is that I don't use them......they decorate my house in Megaton and room in Rivet City whilst I wreak havok with the Stealth Armor and shock sword I got from the Vault, and the Victory Rifle. I buy every cheap ass suit of Recon Armor I find to keep it fully repaired. Maybe I'll name my next character Gray Fox. lol |
