| Looking to put something on top of my 15-22, I like the idea of the quick targeting with a red dot, but I also want to be able to target shoot (and see the target lol) out at 75-100 yrds. Do i just need to look into the red dot/magnifiers or is there something else out there that would fit the bill... Im way out of my comfort zone on anything to deal with scopes or optics in general really... Help me... |
| Another nice about the nonmagnified red dot is the minimal parallax. This means your point of impact doesn't shift when you move your head like it does with magnified optics. This lends to spooky precision at close ranges where the dot is not completely obscuring the target. |

For a .22 you want a primary arms red dot + magnifier combo, should be $250 or less for the pair w/ mounts.
They aren't quite as nice as a real aimpoint or eotech, but I doubt you want to drop a grand on optics for a .22. The PA is *very* close to an aimpoint in every aspect, except the glass has a very slight blueish hue. They also have a fixed 3x mag red dot (think acog-ish) for a hair over $200 iirc. Best bang for buck optics you can find anywhere, period. |
