Drilling a piece of metal last night with a hand drill and dull bit. The bit broke and the old trigger finger impailed itself.  Fortunately it missed the bone but it did sting a bit.   File this under  WECSOG.

Monkeys shouldn't play with power tools.

Seriously though that had to hurt like a mofo.
Heres to healing and holding a cold beer.

Dull bits suck.

Let the tool do the work, not your muscles.

My wife freaked when she saw it sticking out of my finger.

Note to self....use a sharp drill bit, buy a drill press.

Been there...done that...only on a larger scale. 8mm bit thru my left thumb. Yeah, that'll bring tears to your eyes.

Yeah...the drill bit chewed thru my nail bed (L to R) and pinned my thum to the material I was working on. It looked like my thumb exploded.  The sucky part was, because my thumb was pinned, I had to back the drill out of the jig in order to release my thumb. I know what my bones look like now up close and personal.
The only word I could say for about 5 minutes was "FUCK!"...supervisor drove me to the ER...25 minutes later we arrive. My pants were covered in blood from me wiping my right hand on them. I would apply pressure to my left thumb to control the bleeding until my hads would get too slippery from the blood...then I would wipe my hands on my thighs.....I remeber I was wearing natural denim...which was a cream color. Christ it looked like I should have been half dead from all the blood on my pants! My supervisor almost passed out in the ER when he saw me that way.

Aside from a f'd up thumb nail, the only major dmage was it gets cold real easy, and I feel it tingle alot.
