I got the 30D, a Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM and a Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens. To go along with it I have some SanDisk Ultra II 2.0 GB cards.

I need some suggestions on what else to get? Bag, lens accessories, batteries, hoods, LCD screen protectors, flash (or flashes) and anything else you can think of.

There are things that are must have and I need to get them ASAP and others will be future purchases.

I have an old Tenba bag that I have had for years and it houses my EOS 620 at the moment. Is there a bag that would be better to get than another?

Thanks in advance and I will appreciate any and all advice.

As I shoot vertical a lot, I'm a big fan of the battery grip. Let's you run longer without changing out the batteries, plus it gives you the extra controls for vertical shooting.

It's a personal preference thing, though.

Sounds like a nice set-up.
I am a fan of lens filters. UV stays on my lens 90% of the time, and the Polarized lens is useful outdoors in some applications.

i am getting a Zigview S2 for my 30D. i know everyone on here will think this is a useless over priced gadget but it will prove to be a valuable asset for my applications.

Big +1 on the vertical grip.  I am kicking myself for not buying one earlier.  Probably 2/3rds of my shots are verticle, and when I am rushed, they are often not straight.
Screen protector.
A good bag is essential.  Oh, you need some fast glass, too,

Get a tripod.  Bogen 3021N or BPro is a good choice.  For a head, I would reccomend perhaps the Manfrotto 3265 grip action ball head.  It won't support the really heavy lenses, but you don't have any yet.  You also might consider a good flash, like the 480EX.

Do you mean the 580EX (or perhaps the 430EX)?

Perhaps some hybrid flash ?

Hehe, sorry, I did indeed mean the 580.  Slip of the finger.

I was going to ask about that myself.

+1 to the grip action ballhead I prefer this model Manfrotto 322RC2.

I ordered the 'armor' for it.

I will work on the tripod in the near future.

I have the battery grip on the way.

Are the grip straps any good? If so what brand is the best?

If you get a good flash, consider a Lumiquest pocket bounce, and some colored gels.

I ordered the wrong hood for my long tele lens.

I haven't even thought about the flash yet.

What a great deal!
I bought an off market and it was a POS.  I need three more (two sets of two) to make my life complete.

we buy all of our 20d/30d batts there

Thanks for the link on the batteries.

I bought one from another place because I was already ordering something else but I might need a few spares.

Eyepiece Extender

Pro:  MUCH more comfortable; helps keep screen clean.

Con:  Reduces viewfinder magnification.

I haven't gotten one yet but I think that it would be a great addition to the camera.

I finally got the Camera Armor in for it.

Manfrotto is next on the list.

Personally, I really love my polarizer. I don't really use the UV filters much though. I almost always shoot with a hood and that's enough protection for me. YMMV.

Another aftermarket battery that's good is the Sterlingtek. I have two of them and they are 2000mAH. My experience is that they are very good quality and last a LONG time. They are a little more expensive than the ones at digital discount though, at $11.99, but have more advertised power. Still a good deal cheaper than Canon batteries.

Don't forget a good cleaning kit for the sensor either.
