I'm a little pissed off right now  with Amazon
I'm a prime member, and ordered these norelco replacemnt heads last nigh when i ordered  them last night they were $21.88 , woke up this morning, and saw I was charged $25.99! I go back on site, and there still 21.88 ok

Also bought this heater which is a prime item, but see i was also charged and extra $2.53 on this item, and unlike the rest of the prime order that arrives on Sunday, this will arrive on Tuesday.

So after going through the hell of IMing them, they basically tell me oh well prices change, and all this happy bull shit, even though , if you noticed the heads are fucking cheaper than they charged me  right now ?! WTF So when I asked them isn't charging a different price than advertised called bait , and switch, and isn't that illegal? I get Have a great Holiday, anything else we can do for you?

And 2 day shipping means not from the day you ordered it, but when we ship it? WTF is this bull shit? EVERY fucking other order I placed came in 2 fuckigng days, there Rukeesh

Heads show $24.69 for me, heater is $39.99.

the $25.99 price is the one time buy price.  the lower price is for the monthly subscription price.  Which did you order?

yes the heater was tax, but still it shoudve been coming on Sunday with the rest of the order, not Tuesday.

the blades at time of purchase, late last night were 21.88, woke up was charged 25.99, went back on site they were still priced at 21.88, I was charged 25.99, right now they are currently 24.69

Sounds like either the price changed right when you were ordering or you're dealing with sales tax. Amazon doesn't have people waiting for orders then giggling maniacally as they change it to a higher price the moment you add it to your cart, the vast majority of the pricing is automated.

ETA: Ooooorrrrr....

They still show 25.99 for a one-time purchase...

according to CamelCamelCamel, OP is right, they were at $21.88 earlier today.

Call Amazon and tell them you aren't happy with the customer service you received and you want the $21.88 price and keep bitching, tell them you were inconvenienced and they'll probably throw in a month or 2 of Prime for free

In general, amazon has some of the highest prices you can pay.  I live a little out in the boonies and am an hour away from the nearest mall, so I do a LOT of shopping online, and I have never once had their price bait/switch/change on me during or after an order.

Here is one example of how painfully overpriced their shit is.  I buy these Bruder high end german toys for my little boy, and this Xmas he's getting one of the garbage trucks and an excavator.  Check out the price difference between Amazon prime, and another mom n' pop shop toy store:

$93 on amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Bruder-Toys-Granite-Garbage-Truck/dp/B004NO00SG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1481950076&sr=8-1&keywords=bruder&tag=vglnk-c102-20&tag=vglnk-c102-20 mack garbage truck&tag=vglnk-c102-20
$44 (when i ordered it) + $12 shipping at ruralking - http://www.ruralking.com/bruder-mack-granite-rear-loading-garbage-truck-02812.html

$93 bucks, compared to $55.  Not even in the same ballpark.

Thats just a couple of examples.
I could show a couple where Amazon is the lowest.

I have noticed that Amazon many times is priced higher and the past year or so I have been shopping around a lot more than just blindly ordering everything from amazon.

Amazon has changed things up recently, you really got to watch them. I am starting to wonder if prime is worth it.

Pretty common - Amazon leads with a low price to try to hook you on the convenience, then adjusts prices up and hopes you either won't notice, or will keep buying anyway for the convenience.

Usually when I see the low price, it is via a 3rd party.

You're using the phrase wrong.

bait-and-switch (noun) noun - the action (generally illegal) of advertising goods that are an apparent bargain, with the intention of substituting inferior or more expensive goods, not charging you more for them or making you pay tax.

They love to price match Walmart. 3 of 4 toys that I just purchased for my niece and nephew were exactly the same price at Walmart. The 4th one Walmart didn't have, but Toys R Us did. The Amazon price (through 3rd party, no tax) for that one was almost exactly what the same price would've been through Toys R Us after tax.

Amazon is getting on my "Naughty" list this year.

I had pre-ordered some DVDs and was given the release date and my expected ship date. Well, it got to the day before they were supposed to arrive and they still hadn't shipped nor had the date been adjusted, so I contacted Customer Service. I got  song and dance from two Customer Service reps (who were obviously just using pre-written scripts) by Chat, so I e-mailed instead. The response I got back essentially said "If you look at the item it says that they will ship in 1 - 2 months."

I don't care what it says NOW! That's not what it said when I ordered it, and if you're having supply chain issues I should have been notified!!! Then it gave me a link to cancel if I wanted. I tried that and it wouldn't let me because it dropped me below the Free Shipping threshold.

I finally tried Chat again during the daytime hours, got someone with an American sounding name, had her cancel the order and ordered it from Target. It cost me a buck more, but I actually received it before Christmas.

Amazon will send you a free shipping label for a return.

Return them for a refund and order at the less expensive price.

Thats what I just did, thanks OP.

I would say this. I have placed probably 150 or so orders with Amazon the past 4-5 years and have only had issues that required me to contact them twice, and both times I actually ended up coming out ahead of the deal in the end. Ask to speak to a Supervisor would be my suggestion.

It's the holidays and Amazon is dickin the dog on shipping.   I've done at least 6 orders the last 10 days and not one has shown up when it was supposed to.   Hell I ordered some pants on Prime for 2 day on Monday and they still haven't shipped.

I did have an order through Prime take 3 days from shipping, but first world problems and all that. Online shipping I was reading is up like 12-13% over last year which was also up about that much from the year before, so I can accept an order being a day late knowing they are pretty much swamped right now. After the holidays if it continues then yeah, I will consider not re-upping Prime, but for now? Meh.

Fwiw, this is a recent pricing experience I had with Amazon. I was shopping for a fluke meter and everyone had the kit in the $626-640 range including Amazon. Then I found it at a specialty store for $460. That was a no brainer so I went for it. During checkout I was given the option to pay with Amazon and after I did everyone's prices changed. The shop I bought from went up to about $490 and Amazon dropped to about 585. I just checked and it's 499, 504, and other vendors are 489 to 560. It's a strange price discovery system.
