Well I'm in. I think everyone who's interested should post up here so we can get a head count. I have no problem getting a company going but everyone involved needs to understand a few thing first.
We are very new to this as a clan. We're all really great players rage and alcohol aside. However there are clans out there that all they do is run TCs all day everyday! They have this worked out to a science and they win a hell of a lot. So not every night is going to be 19 and 3. We will have bad nights just like when we platoon. If you can't handle this concept please go play solo or platoon. It's going to take a while for us to really get better at this. The reality is we really have to be running gold rounds. If we're not it's going to be an uphill battle almost every match so bring credits. We will also need a good amount of the usual key tanks KV-1S 3601H and the like. I have been the only one that I have seen really try to start running TCs. I did this so we could try and add some variety to the game instead of the same old shit every night and have some fun with my friends I have made here over the past few months. I might not be the best leader but I try as others have pointed out I can make bad calls. So this really has to be a team effort. Bad calls will be made some people will choke flanks will fall due to someone not being able to hit shit. Your precious efficiency may go up or it may go down. I would like to think that putting aside a few tanks at certain tiers for the sole purpose of TCs can be fun and once we get our shit together a real challenge! |

I would like to think that putting aside a few tanks at certain tiers for the sole purpose of TCs can be fun and once we get our shit together a real challenge! Dude, you ran the battles well. The only thing missing was experience. Experience in keeping an eye on the overall field and being able to direct forces as needed based on the battle. And experience to develop strategies on every map. Especially against those groups that play company battles all the time. We've all been used to the standard public scatter to the wind strategies. | Well I would like to try and run one every night if possible just to see who wants in and to get more experience. I know that sounds like alot but until guys start posting up in here about the nights they can run it might be the only way to gauge how many guys want to commit to something like this even if it's only for like three matches a night. So when I come on and announce a TC starting up try to make it in even if only for a few matches. Then we can platoon and grind our daily 2xs. I unfortunately only can run at night due to work family you know real life and shit. |
|
9pm EST would be ideal for me, I can run almost every night for an hour or two at that time. Earlier than that and I'd be less reliable but would still try to make it.
I usually run higher tier tanks, so my performance in the medium company hasn't been great, but I've made it a point to play the lower tiers more lately and I'm getting better with the M18, Cromwell, and leFH. I'll try to throw a heavy into the mix after I get the Cromwell to elite, shouldn't be long. I don't give a crap about stats anymore. I enjoy trying out Journeyman's strategies, win or lose. Some of the stunts we pull might make us look like clowns, some of them might make us look like tactical geniuses, but they're all fun. As for gold rounds, I've found that about 2 runs with premium 8s will pay for a night of gold rounds at the lower tiers. Totally worth it. ETA: 11pm EST is a bit late for me on school nights, but I can make it for a few matches at least. I'm Twelvepack in game as well. |
|
11pm is past my bedtime on school nights, gotta wake my sorry butt up so I can get the kids up for school, otherwise I would be down.
9pm EST is better, since that gives the west coast element time to get home from work/dinner. Lets hope this gains traction. Game name is same as here. Yeah, I am unimaginative and Wargaming wont change it unless its offensive. |

Have we run into any TS3 server user limits? Do I need to bump the limit above the current 15? E-95 Only once so far is there cost associated with that? It would be nice. Yea, I think it'll be like an extra $0.50/mo. I'll bump it up. Thanks bro! |

I'm in. I'm also down for Journey running the TC slot. I don't see much value in changing around leaders often. Mainly because we need to get used to his lead style, and eventually we will just "know" what to do. I think having a 2nd level and maybe even a 3rd level commander in case he is out might be a good idea. |

I think maybe a night or two in training rooms might be a good idea as well. Not a bad idea. It might also help to see if some of the guys that are heavily involved in Clan Wars would be willing to jump in to give some strategic advice based on what they've experienced. Guys like BigAJ, luv_the_huskers, Andrewphillipf, etc. E-95 |

I'm on day shift now, so I need to be off by 11 Eastern if I want any sleep the next day. Weekends, I can play till I go hit the bar around 12:30.
I usually run my KV1S as most of you know, but also have a Grille. I might just sell the Grille since I only had it for Tank Companies. I have Tier VIII's and X's too if we want to branch out. In game name= BottledViolence |

E-95 Going to? Hell he already did!
And Im in for the Company battles also. Seems like thats the only way I can play with anyone else since most of you guys run high tier tanks. 9EST week nights should be good on most nights but it will depend on work. Weekend any time. In game is same as here |

Had a BLAST last night! That first battle, when we said fuck it and started about 10 tiers short....that just kicked the night off perfectly.
I think my "2 premium battles pays for your gold rounds for the night" claim was based on discounted rounds though, lol. Still totally worth it, though, I was the scourge of KV-1Ss. I'm skipping my doubles tonight and grinding gold in the KV-5. Hit me up for a platoon if you see me on. I run both a KV-5 and a T34, so I'm never killing time in chat waiting for battles to finish, just drop me an invite if you want to team up. I don't work tomorrow, so hope we can company up again tonight, and I shouldn't have to leave until I'm out of rounds. |

Everyone needs to get up to Tier 8 (IS-3s!) do be able to do some Champion companies. What are the arti levels for Champion? I have an assortment of American 8s, but no IS-3 and no plan to get one...what American tanks are acceptable? Right now I don't feel particularly motivated to move up to Champion, but knowing what I'd need to grind helps for overall planning. This would become like a 4th priority....credit grinding to support everything else, then medium company battles, then CW support, then Champion companies. |

Everyone needs to start playing TC's earlier. ![]() Yep. I play this game first to spend time with the old man, and second to hang with you guys. If I can do one or two TCs, maybe with him involved, it would be easier. I don't understand Brad is your dad like a hunchback or something? Why can't he join up with us? Are you ashamed of us? |

Oh he wants to join up with us. It's just a matter of coordinating. He is also a little embarrassed that he isn't as good everyone else. Don't tell him I told you that please. He and I used to play clan wars, but we had only been playing the game for about a month, and we were TERRIBLE. So it put a bad taste in his mouth. |

Champion Tank CompanyTotal tier level : minimum 60 pts - maximum 90 pts Artillery level : 2-6 Tank destroyer level : 2-8 Light tank level : 1-8 Medium tank level : 2-8 Heavy tank level : 4-8 It really depends on the goals of everyone playing in the TC. If you're just running what you've got and doing the best you can, bring whatever. But, if you're trying to optimize to win everything, then there are certain tanks. You can see that in the Medium TCs... the KV-1s is the mainstay along with the 3601 and M18. The IS-3 is the same way in Champion. The AMX 50-100 can be useful. Tiger IIs are OK. I wouldn't bring my T32 as it's too undergunned. And premiums are so-so. An arty or two and maybe a scout. If I'm recalling correctly, you can have a lot of success with 10 IS-3s for 80 points then a pair of Hummels brings you to 90 points. |

Dude, that practically makes you family...in all honesty, the teams we kick ass against are probably about as low-ranked as they come. We hold our own against some decent companies, but we get rolled by some, too. The ONLY thing you should be concerned about is if your dad is sensitive to the word "fuck." Not only can it not bother him, he has to know all the word forms it takes in order to interpret Journeyman's battle-calling. Here's a test...if he can understand these directions, you should be good to go: <in the voice of journeyman>: Fucker! bcauz3y, fucking move around that fucking rock and light that fucking td up so arti can hit that fuck-stick! Interpretation: Taking heavy fire from enemy. bcauz3y, he's on the other side of the rock, please get him on radar. Arti, prepare to fire near bcauz3y's position. |
