Damn, that's awfully close for a cruise ship to be by a small marina.
9/4/2016 4:42:14 PM EDT
[#2]
They gonna have to book a shit load of cruises to pay for that!

I used to work on a tugboat, we'd travel up and down the intercoastal waterways of NC, VA, GA and FL. The tug going down some narrow rivers would suck all the water from in front of us and spit it out the back. You could watch the water level drop sometimes 10-15 feet down the banks of the rivers. It was always cool going through SC and seeing the gators start to appear as we sucked the water off the banks. But sometimes we'd come up on people swimming or small boats and we'd blow the horn at them to get out of the water so we wouldn't suck them in...

The fish really start biting when the flow starts, too.

We were always moving so no chance to fish. Plus the wash was so huge there's no way we could have if we wanted. We had to rely on boats going by and we'd ask if they had any to sell. I can remember scoring a 20 lbs dolphin fish one day. It was tastey!

Lol..that all reminds me of the time I was walking down the side of the tug and saw something jump onto the deck right in front of me. It was the biggest shrimp I've ever seen! About 10 inches long and at least 2 inches around. Somebody was cooking breakfast and I walked by and threw him on the stove. They were all looking for.more on the deck after that...hahaha

Got caught in that at Little River a couple of times before they reworked the channel. No fun in a 14' Jon boat with a 10 horse kicker.

That's why you shouldn't ride them.  US, British, Norwegian, French ships and officers are good.   Your life is in danger on Italian and Greek ships.
