I had a X Box 360 and I didn't like it. Most of the games seemed to be geared for online gaming and the controls seemed sloppy to me. I had a PS2 and liked it but I really like the looks of the new games but if  they are ridiculous hard I will just get another PS2. I just want a system that is fun not something that I need to commit allot of time to. What do you really think of the PS3 is it the same as the X Box 360 or is it a better PS2?

I hated my 360  Sold it after a month.  The PS3 is sooooo sweet.  Tons of fun   go for it

It's allot of cash to spend and after the 360 experience I am a little trigger shy.

It has a lot more variety in games - it definitely has a much more 'international' feel to it than the 360 IMHO. 360 focuses a lot on shooters for the American market - stuff like Halo and Gears of War.

Now, the PS3 has shooters too...but they're not quite the same. Games like Resistance and Killzone - they have a different style. And also, PS3 has a lot of first party stuff that is pretty unique - games like Ratchet and Clank, Motorstorm, LittleBigPlanet, WipeoutHD, Uncharted, Warhawk, Echochrome, SIREN, Gran Turismo...really it's a very diverse lineup of games.

I really only like first person shooters and games like Ace combat.
