The officer suffered minor injuries including bites to his ankle on Thursday when the five Chihuahuas escaped the 17-year-old boy's home and rushed the officer in the doorway, said Fremont detective Bill Veteran. The teenager had been detained after the traffic incident, Veteran said. The officer was treated at a local hospital and returned to work less than two hours later, Veteran said. It was the third time this month a Fremont officer was bitten by a dog while on duty. Neither of the other officers were seriously injured. And it was the second bizarre incident in as many hours for the Fremont Police Department. Two hours earlier, a homeowner in Niles reported that an intruder broke into her home and added pornography to her computer. The woman said she woke up and was startled to see a stranger typing away on her computer. The intruder fled, but left behind an altered screen saver that featured images of "erotic Indian art," Veteran said. Nothing was reported stolen, and neither the woman nor her nine-year- old daughter was hurt, he said. Fremont is about 35 miles (56 kilometers) southwest of San Fransisco. |

wow, i knew someone who had one of those as a pet, it was the most placid animal ever, i have a hard time imagining those things viciously attacking in packs.... ETA: never mind, i thought this thread was about chinchillas, not chihuahua dogs.... |
Every one of those little rat dogs I have ever seen had a nasty disposition. I'll bet they would be a sporting target to the LEO being attacked though! |
Freemont is 35 miles south EAST of SF. 35 miles SW of SF is out in the pacific ocean. As I read this article, I couldn't help visualizing the LEO trying to shoot all those little yipping pack of Chihuahuas! Hard to hit em, I'll bet! |

When I was growing up, my neighbor had two of those rat dogs. She'd let them out of the house & they'd come tearing ass over to our yard, snapping & yipping until the old broad called them back in. She'd see their behavior & wouldn't do a thing about it. Her rats would constantly harrass us kids & sometimes bite. It caused zero reaction from her. One day I hauled off & kicked one of the little bastards like a football. Same story - it was yapping and trying to bite. She about had a heart attack. She couldn't believe I did that. When my father came home, the neighbor told him I went on her property, ran her rat dog down and stomped it without provocation. Lucky for me, dear old Dad knew what was up & advised us that we should be more watchful the next time we kick them. |
| late night predatory chihuahua attacks aren't all that uncommon in 3rd world countries where people often sleep on the floors. They're also known to carry off small children and cats into the night in packs. They get bolder with experience. This was obviously a well disiplined and hardened pack. |
Honey, SEE, I told you someone else put this on my computer. Here is another case. [saved] |

For all those unfamiliar with these dogs, I am very familiar with them. My grandmother had one named Pete. He was 4 pounds of absolute evil. Without a doubt the most ill-tempered creature I have ever seen. I have seen rattle snakes with sunnier dispositions. |
Believe it or not, I have seen numerous instances of pervs using pornography in an attempt to harass females. |

Hard to hit em, I'll bet!
