I want to power my home internet with an AT&T 3g wifi USB dongle Yeah, I know, its not fast but from home I don't need much and the cable guys are raising their rates, and I already have the wifi dongle for when I'm on the road.
What I'd like to do is plug the wifi dongle into a dedicated box with the equivalent of "internet connection sharing" turned on, have that box plugged into my LInksys router (wired and wifi) and have the router assign IP addresses etc to all users, but taking internet through the box with the dongle. Walk me through this please. |

Depending on the device you get from your provider it may or may not be possible to do with a 3g router thing..
We have an EVdO connection here at the house and the only way I can make my Verizon supplied modem make nice on wifi is to use Windows ICS to share it to a wifi access point. |

Actually, AT&T have a device to do exactly what you want.
